Third Person P.O.V
The echoing sound of a woman's heels reverberated through the hallway leading to the board of directors' office.
She strode with a commanding presence, exuding an aura of power and sophistication that demanded attention from all who crossed her path.
Her crimson lips matched the hue of her dress and stilettos, causing everyone she encountered to shrink back in awe of her presence.
Her secretary swiftly opened the door as they arrived at the B.O.D. office. The noisy chatter inside came to a sudden halt, and all eyes turned towards her.
"My apologies for being late. I had some unfinished business to attend to," she stated meaningfully.
Prior to her arrival, chaos had erupted in the office due to a scandal involving the company's CEO. This scandal implicated him in illegal activities. A tip had been provided to the PDEA and the police, leading to a swift response that culminated in the CEO's arrest during a high-profile buy-bust operation. The media and the police swiftly descended upon the scene, capturing the moment when the owner of one of the most successful companies in the Philippines was led out in handcuffs.
The media bombarded Logan Castillano, a prominent businessman, with questions. He remained silent as he was escorted by the police to their vehicle.
Yeshua Espinoza's secretary promptly switched off the TV broadcasting the earlier news report.
Yeshua stood her ground, facing the eight men seated in the boardroom. They were still reeling from what they had just witnessed.
She smiled—a powerful, intimidating smile—and her eyes swept across the faces of the eight men on the board of directors, along with the other stockholders in the background.
She was the sole woman present, yet she was the last woman standing.
After effortlessly defeated their leader, she would have no trouble bringing down his followers as well.
"Your dirty laundry is now on full display. Leave now if you wish to salvage what little integrity you have left," she calmly smiled at them, holding the flash drive to each one's hidden secrets.
The men in the room were too afraid to meet the woman's gaze. Their fear stemmed from witnessing how easily she had brought down Logan. What chance did they stand against her?
One of the board members rose in fear, exiting without a word. The others quickly followed him, making promises to the woman in exchange for her silence. She grinned, exuding a mix of fear and relief from the men's faces. The group of demons that Logan had assembled had disappear.
When all had left, she finally allowed herself to sink into her chair. She remained in a daze, clutching an empty flash drive in her hand.
"Mga inutil," she muttered, struggling to contain the rush of emotions that threatened to overwhelm her.
"Mga bobo kayo," she said through tears of joy. After twelve years of planning, suffering, pain, and longing, she had emerged victorious over them all.
"Sinira mo ang imahe ko sa mga anak ko, sisirain rin kita sa buong mundo." she seethed, her voice filled with rage.
After composing herself, she wiped away her tears and put on her sunglasses before leaving the office.
In her mind, the company was worthless. She knew it wouldn't be long before she shut it down. She wouldn't let her children be associated with such a name.
She was ready to erase the company's history to protect her children from their father's influence.
Once she had dismantled the company, she would then take action to speak with and retrieve her children. It wasn't the right time now, as she understood they would be in mourning upon receiving the news. She would give them the right to grieve, but she would also destroy the facade that Logan had protected in front of her children. She would shatter it into pieces until they saw it for what it truly was, and that's when she would reclaim her children.
