(The next day)

Sohyun's pov

We were into the second class of the day, history, and I saw our teacher walk in with the girl that passed by me at the library yesterday.

“Class, meet our new student. She will be joining us from this year onwards. Treat her well”
The teacher said.

“I'm Han Naeun, nice to meet you all”
The girl introduced herself.

She was then directed to sit beside Jungwon since the seat wasn't occupied. He was quick to welcome her warmly, even flashing his golden smile to her.

I was watching them talk for a while, until I felt a crushed paper ball being thrown at me. I found the culprit, his face morphed into a frown.

“Yes?”
I arched a brow at Jay.

“Move your chair here, I need your help, nerd”
He gestured to come closer.

I quietly moved over to him, and he pointed to the source that he couldn't comprehend. I tried my best to explain what it meant, and Jay took down notes. Once he started attempting the question, I took a peek at Jungwon again.

The peek obviously turned into a stare because of how he was giggling away with his new deskmate.

“What have you been staring at? The new girl?”
Jay looked in the same direction that I did.

“Do you think she's pretty?”
I spun my head towards him.

“And why do you need my opinion on that?”
He asked, confused.

“Just because..”
I trailed off.

“She does look prettier than most of the girls in our class”
He said truthfully.

“What about me?”
I smiled at Jay, flipping my hair.

“The hell? Did the craze get to your head? I won't simply let you hear what you want because you're my sister”
Jay chuckled in amusement.

“Like you're any better”
I scoffed.

“Everyone knows I'm the better Park in the family. Don't even try”
He grinned.

I didn't want to continue a pointless argument, so I didn't reply. A few seconds later, Jay took out his phone and used it under the table.

“Oh, Heeseung texted”
He told me.

“What did he say?”
I leaned closer to him.

“He said you look like an ugly b*tch-”
I cut him off by snatching his phone.

I checked the message, and realised he was making stuff up just to purposely get on my nerves.

“You look like you were about to hunt him down for saying that. Still don't understand why you both can't get along”
Jay claimed back his phone.

“Yeah because he's a pain in the *ss, Jay. I wish he would get a grip”
I replied, thinking of his words yesterday.

“You both don't even talk though?”
He looked up, trying to think of a time we interacted.

“It's a shame you're not in my bio class. Did he ever tell you that I'm his current desk mate? And he literally tutors me now?”
I sulked.

“Sucks to be you. Have fun with that”
Jay patted my shoulder.

(Lunch)

As usual, five of us gathered at our table in the cafeteria. Anyhow, a special appearance was made.
