Everyone got out of the car and started walking to the campus entrance. Many students could be seen all dressed up with their partners or with friend groups as well, excited for tonight's event.
“You guys wanna take a picture before things gets messy?” I asked.
“Sure” Jay agreed.
The four of us huddled together to take a picture. I didn't miss how Jay put his arm around Jiyoon. After that, we all walked into the campus, following the crowd to the venue. It was just the hall, now decorated like a ballroom.
“Look, there's a photobooth” Jiyoon pointed towards it.
We all went for it. There were little fun props we could wear. Sohyun and I decided to wear fuzzy animal hats. Jay took a moustache prop while Jiyoon went for the bright star glasses.
We closed the gap, and the camera shuttered. We ended up playing with the different props, and took another three photos.
“Could we go for a love shot?” The photographer asked.
“What” I heard Jay mutter beside me, and I secretly laughed.
“Heeseung, lower your head” Sohyun distracted me.
She told me that she'd kiss me on the cheek for the shot.
“Bend down you giraffe!” Jiyoon exclaimed to Jay.
“Oh, sorry” Jay did as told.
“3, 2, 1!” The photographer counted down.
The camera flashed, and Sohyun pecked me on the cheek before letting go. As we put back the props and waited for the photos to be printed, I saw Jay in a daze.
“You good?” I asked, concerned.
“I'm fine” He replied shortly.
Once we got the copies of our photos, we split our separate ways. Sohyun pulled me to the table filled with desserts. She took a plate and took a piece of caramel cake, enough to share with me. We took a seat to eat while Sohyun chose to feed me.
“Welcome to our 50th anniversary party, food is over at the right, photobooth at the back, dessert and drinks at the left. Enjoy yourselves” The host announced.
“They're break dancing” Sohyun looked in the direction of the gathered crowd.
I saw a group of guys hyping up each other. They were from the dance club, and it seemed pretty fun.
“You should join them” Sohyun nodded her head towards the guys.
“I'm good at studies, okay, not busting moves. And anyway, I didn't sign up to break a bone tonight” I said, taking another bite of the cake.
