Sohyun's pov

Heeseung called me to stay over at his apartment for the night so I was now on my way to his unit. It was my first time staying over so I was a little skeptical.

I knocked on Heeseung's door. He opened it, and before I got to greet him, he stopped me.

“Close your eyes. I have a surprise”
He stepped forward and cupped his hand around my eyes.

“Now walk forward”
His tone became excited as he guided me into the house.

I took small steps forward, and he eventually stopped.

“Continue closing your eyes for me. I'm going to get it”
Heeseung said.

I did as he said, waiting patiently for him to come back. Moments later, I heard footsteps coming back.

“Open your eyes”
He said.

I let an eye creak open, and my hands flew to my mouth when I saw the cute animal in Heeseung's arms. He had a huge grin on his face as he petted it.

Aww Heeseung, this is adorable! This cute fluffy thing! Oh my gosh”
I reached my hand out to stroke it.

“I knew you loved cats, but couldn't have one. So…I thought it'd be a nice surprise”
Heeseung said.

“Wait, this is for me?”
I pointed at the cat.

Instead of Heeseung, the cat replied with a purr.

“What she said. She's all yours”
Heeseung nodded his head at the cat.

“But Jay is allergic, I can't bring her home”
I told him.

“That's why I made you come here. I was thinking that maybe you could just live with me here. It can fit both of us and this baby. Today is just a trial”
He suggested.

“Really? Should I cutie?”
My attention shifted back to the cat, waiting for a reply as I pet its head.

It purred back, making the corners of my lips lift into a smile. Heeseung laughed at us, now handing over the cat to me. I carefully let it rest on my arms and then went over to sit on the couch, crossing my legs.

She immediately got comfortable with me and was so well-behaved. I've always wanted this.

“Have you named her yet?”
I asked.

“Nope. She's yours, so you should name her”
He said.

“Hm, what about nugget? Or tiger? Or honey? What suits this orange loaf?”
I gave it chin rubs as I thought of some names.

“Something simple and easy to call. What do you think of Bob?”
He looked at me.

“Heeseung what… Anyway, she looks a little like Jungwon. Don't you think?”
I looked back down at the cat.

He went silent. We locked eyes when I turned my head, a serious look on his face.

“Okay, we're returning this cat and getting a different one”
He tried to get the fluffball out of my arms.

“No! Okay I'm sorry! They look different, I swear”
I shifted to the other end of the couch.

“Better be”
Heeseung sat back down.

As he sat a distance away, I tried thinking of a name for her quietly. I thought over it for a while before a name popped up in my head.

“How about asher? Sounds cool”
I swayed my feet.

“I'm okay with that”
He replied, now walking over to me.

“Okayy, asher it is”
I aggressively petted its body.

“Glad you liked it. But hey, not more than me, right?”
Heeseung took his place beside me, and arm around my waist

“Whatever”
I brushed off his question.

“I said, not more than me, right?”
He tightened his grip on my waist.

“Just let me enjoy some time with asher”
I stood up, still cradling the cat in my arms.

I changed my tone of voice, babying asher as I played with her. I was so happy to call her my own. Heeseung however didn't stop pestering me.

As I walked outside to the balcony to let asher admire the view, Heeseung came up behind me. He snaked his arms around my waist, persistently trying to get my attention. I ignored him, but he saw an opportunity.

He tried scaring asher with his hands, and it made her escape from my arms, running off back inside the apartment. I whined in response while Heeseung kept his grip on me.

“So? Who do you like more?”
Heeseung tickled my stomach.

I tried to push his hands away but he wouldn't stop, my strength no match for his.

“Heeseung, you annoying f*ck!”
I said through giggles, squirming around.

“Who, angel?”
Heeseung asked, feigning ignorance.

Oh he would not stop.

“You! I like you more, no, most!”
I exclaimed, wanting him to stop.

Heeseung spun me around, finally stopping his tickling. He looked down at me with a cheeky expression.

“Me too, you're the one I like most”
Heeseung left a kiss on my forehead.

“So petty”
I frowned and smiled at him at the same time.

“I'd be petty just for your love all the time”
Heeseung replied.

“Okay, now let me go. I want to play with asher. Do you have any cat toys I can use to play with her?”
I tapped his arm excitedly.

Or you can just play with me instead
His lips curled into a smirk.

“Heeseung”
I looked at him, so done.

Though he is petty, at least I know we have a lot of love to give.

Till the end of time.
