Heeseung's pov
“Big day today huh?”
Jungwon shoved his hands into his pockets.
“Yeah, thanks for helping out. You two as well”
I looked to Jiyoon and Jay.
“Better not f*ck it up for my best friend Heeseung. I'm not wearing heels for no reason”
Jiyoon kicked the air, threatening me.
It really was a big day. Sohyun thinks that she's only coming over to see my new apartment. However, there's something more special than that awaiting her.
“Alright. Hopefully everything goes according to plan”
Just as I said that, my phone buzzed.

some last minute setting

the others should be
waiting for you downstairs

“Sohyun is almost here, you guys should go down. She's wearing a blue dress by the way”
I told the others.
They nodded and rushed out of the apartment. I released a sigh, walking over to my position, in the middle of a heart made of rose petals on the floor of the mini balcony.
Was this too much? What if my voice cracks? Oh god, what if she says no?
I ran a hand over the length of my face, inhaling a deep breath. I've never felt like such a chicken.
I tried to distract myself with the view from up here, the sun drenching the city in gold. The sky was on my side. Maybe it was a sign that things will go well.
Murmurs were heard from outside my apartment door, and they soon entered. I could hear Sohyun's loud gasp.
“Guys, what's all this??”
She asked, probably confused at the trail of rose petals that I prepared from the door to the balcony.
“I don't know, you should go find out”
Jay replied.
“So much for a housewarming party”
She chuckled.
I heard footsteps coming closer. soon enough she turned and I met her gaze from a distance. Her eyes toggled between me and the other three. They ushered her to walk in my direction as a smile plastered on her face.
“Heeseung”
She tilted her head at me as she stepped into the heart.
“You look so beautiful, angel”
I adjusted a strand of hair away from her face, attempting to make the situation more light-hearted.
“I thought you said dresses weren't my thing”
She teased.
“Oh I was just being petty at the time. I meant to say you’re gorgeous in them”
I gently grabbed both her hands as she giggled.
“Well, you could already tell by the flowers, but I still want to say a few things to you”
I said, maintaining eye contact with her.
She nodded, readily waiting for my words.
