I sat in my room staring at the pile of ashes on my smooth white desk.

I had been lighting balls of paper on fire, all day, trying to distract myself seeing as I was not supposed to train.

I let out a sigh, realising how pointless and boring this was. Frustratedly, I dusted the ashes of once crisp balls of paper into the trash. I decided to escape my room not feeling satisfied. The thought of the others doing proper training loomed in my mind.

I snuck into the changing rooms and took my training suit. After quickly changing I headed outside, making sure to check the time before I left.

Leaving my smart watch, which we use as our main source of communication for things such as mission alerts and calling, so that Albert couldn't track me.

I should only be out for an hour so no one will notice, I convinced myself as I made my way over to the vehicle facility.

A large room, all white, with every variation of Albert's high tech transport. From helicopters and jets to boats and submarines,  the room was littered with every vehicle imaginable.

I passed through the room heading to the open garage where the high tech motor vehicles were parked. I picked a random motorcycle and began making my way to the fields I normally practice on.

It was 7:00pm, the sun was just setting. The sky displayed dark purple and pink hues, creating an array of magnificence.

10pm

I rested my hands on my knees, desperately panting and gasping for air. Sweat gathered on my forehead as I inhaled quick sharp breaths, trying to regain my composure.

I have managed to cremate a large mass of land, but still not my maximum. Allowing my sensibility to take control I decided I should head back seeing as I was tired and the sky was obsidian.

I staggered back to the bike, my feet dragging across the ground feeling like anchors. I tried to focus, but everything felt so distant. My thoughts drifted in and out without settling.

My body felt heavy, as if the air around me had thickened, slowing down my every movement.

I reached the motorcycle deciding not to wear the helmet - feeling like I could barely breath. I rushed back as the road started to become blurry. My gaze shifted in and out of focus.

The cool air on my face calmed me down slightly. As the view of the complex came into sight I began to slow down. I quickly parked the bike back then began stumbling through the hallways to my room.

I dragged my feet up the stairs and through the kitchen, making my way through the halls. I caught a glimpse of the time on the kitchen microwave. 10:21pm.

shit.

I quietly made an attempt to speedily get to my room.

I noticed a blurry figure walking in this direction as I shifted my weight onto the wall next to me. I blinked a few times trying to make out who it was. I tried to act normal, taking in more shallow breaths and standing up straighter.

As they came closer my knees gave in. I realised that the figure was Andrew. I looked up narrowing my eyes at him, trying to make out what he was saying.

My head leant against the wall as I attempted to keep my eyes fully open.

His lips were moving but I could only hear indistinct sounds.

He continued to speak, grabbing my chin to face him. I felt my eyes close but I was quickly smacked back into consciousness by the repeated fast tapping on the side of my face.

His palm gently collided with my cheek, trying to keep me awake.

I grasped the man's hand from my cheek then placed my finger on his lips, "shh Jordan, I'm fine." I let out as I felt my eyes close and my mind drift to sleep.
