Got up way too early today, all jittery with anticipation. Tonight's the big moment with Nicki, and it's gonna go down one of two ways: either I'm hitting the bar to drown my sorrows or we're celebrating all night, just us two.

This morning, I dropped off Giselle, Brielle, and Noel at my mom's place before hurrying back to prepare a surprise breakfast in bed for Nicki. As I was doing so, a wave of nervous excitement washed over me, leaving me trembling with anticipation.

I made all of her favorites and put them on a tray with a mimosa I made, hopefully I could form a damn sentence.

"Hey, sleepyhead," I greeted softly as I nudged the door open. There she was, out like a light, her hair a mess and her tank top doing a poor job of containing everything. Her eyes cracked open slowly, taking a moment before the world came into focus.

She smiled so bright seeing me come in with breakfast in bed.

"Aww baby, you did this for me?" her eyes showing nothing but happiness as she covered her mouth in admiration, so dramatic. I loved it.

"All for you"

"Is that baby yours?" she asked, eyeing me with a bit of suspicion. I wonder why she thinks something's up just because I'm spoiling her today.

"No the results not even back yet, I just want to treat you today, can I do that?"

"Sure thing, just gonna brush up real quick," she said, bouncing off to brush her teeth and get sorted. And there I was, still frozen in place, trying to shake off the nerves. Gotta chill before I totally tell the secret.

I didn't even realize she was back until I felt her kiss. "Come on, let's eat," she said, pulling me out of my daze.

I wasn't exactly feeling hungry, but I went with it. We settled in and shared her meal, exchanging grapes and strawberries between us. Then she gave me a quick kiss-she's just adorable.

"What's the plans for today?"

"I booked you and Lauren a spa day, and to get your nails, toes and hair done! You'll be gone all day until tonight love" I kissed her as she squealed.

"For me and Lauren, you must want some pussy?"

"I mean, that doesn't sound too bad but no I just want to spoil you today, so hurry up and get done eating y'all have to be there in an hour Lauren is coming to get you"

She finished shortly after, going to get in the shower and get dressed. Lauren made it here while she was still getting dressed, I opened the door letting her in.

"You nervous as shit, I see it all in your face"

"I know Lo, i'm trying to calm my nerves"

"my bestfriend loves you, relax"

I had prepared an entire setup on the beach where I planned to propose, followed by a dinner to celebrate. A few minutes later, Nicki came down, embraced her best friend, and then kissed me

"Thanks daddy, I got you tonight" she winked, I sure hope so.

"While Nicki was away, I repeatedly rehearsed my speech in my mind. I couldn't afford to make a mistake. This felt like one of the most daunting days of my life, second only to when Nicki gave birth to our first child."
