"okay is everyone here ?" i asked.

"yup checked everyone's name at the door" chelsea said.

"okay we got the food, banner, balloons, and shirts and shoes amazing"

"and we actually starting on time cus yk black people always late" i said making aja laugh.

"we be on black people time" sydney said making us nod and laugh.

"okay everyone put your shirt and shoes on and then we'll go get jackie and ja" kelsey said and they nodded.

"hey girl are you excited ?" dijonai asked as her dewanna and aylssa came over to me.

"yes i think she will love it" i said.

"you look beautiful" ja said to me making me blush.

although me and ja called it quits it wasn't because we fell out of love with each other it was simply because after gianna was taken we both were going through depression.

we couldn't help each other at all. it was constantly me hiding how i felt and him hiding how he felt which led to arguing continuously. we felt so trapped like we couldn't talk to each other.

it just made me nervous seeing him again. more like being this close to him again because this is the reason i fell for him the first time. i got so much love and respect for ja and it kinda makes me upset that we couldn't work through this.

because our daughter was taken we both thought it would be better to hide how we felt from each other. looking back neither of us was mature enough to communicate.

"you can never give me a good compliment huh ? it always gotta be a back-sided compliment." he said making me laugh.

"ohh boy hush" i said as we walked into the gym.

aja told me and ja to come to the gym why ? idk i'm lost and so confused and so is ja.

"you still don't have any idea why we're here ?" ja asked me.

"nope none. i tried to get chelsea to spill the beans but she wasn't going for it" i said laughing.

"hey jackie" kiah said coming in as she walked beside us.

jackie and ja walked in and turned on the lights and we surprised them. she looked so confused until she saw the sign and our shirts.

i watched as her eyes filled with tears. she came over to us hugging us tightly. i already know she finna be in full blown tears.

"aww you guys we love it" jackie said hugging her best friend ty.

"this was all you wasn't it ?" she asked ty.

"maybe lol, but everyone else did so good in helping and getting this together."

"thank you guys, we love it and we appreciate yall so much" ja said.

"okay let's eat & jackie you can hook your phone up and show us your fav picture/videos you have of her.

"in other words yall want me to cry" she said laughing.
