i walked downstairs and headed into the kitchen. i got home from paris late last night. i went into the kitchen and turned the light on where i saw gianna sitting at the island slumped over.

"omg" i said jumping. why is she not in her bed.

"hey babygirl" i said shaking her lightly. she stirred from her sleep and gave me a weak smile.

"hi mommy" she mumbled.

"why aren't you in your bed ?" i asked.

"i was studying" she mumbled.

"girl you've studied enough go to bed" i told her.

i picked her up bridal style and carried her upstairs.

"mommy, you'll love me forever right ?" she mumbled into my chest.

"yes, i will love you forever baby" i said. i laid her down in her bed and tucked her in. i watched as she slept like a baby. i kissed her forehead before closing the door quietly.

heading back downstairs i saw ja standing there shirtless. yet another heart attack.

"omg what's with you and your daughter popping up in here ?" i asked holding my chest.

"my fault ma. you wasn't in bed so i came to check on you" he said.

i walked around the counter and hugged him wrapping my arms around his neck.

"how sweet, i came down here to get water but gigi was down here hanging on for dear life tryna study" i said laughing.

he led me back to bed and he laid his head on my chest. i could feel him rub my thighs lightly.

"i saw you was messed up at the bar" he said making me laugh and shake my head.

"man ion even drink fr but i played terrible in the all star game so i decided to let lose for once" i said laughing.

"ik you was messed up when you was dancing. we can't even get a pre-game dance from you" he said making me laugh.

"omgg stop lol ionk why aja let me drink like that" i said.

"and them clothes you was wearing. ionk who let you leave like that" ja told me.

"ohh boy shut up lol. i was not even showing nun but my stomach and everyone has seen it over and over"

"ionk your boobs wanted to be seen so bad" he said.

"mhm. well i felt cute so that's all that matters" i said smirking at him.

"fast ahh" he said making me laugh.

"man why everyone keep calling me that ? it's not fast. im grown okay please" i said rolling my eyes.

"okay but why would you wear that when im not with you".

"ja don't start. you sound insecure fr. im grown i can wear what i want and ion need no man approval for nun. you act like i slept with someone else".

"prolly did. you probably ain't even remember your name. nobody insecure cus the minute i go to a bar i would be wrong".

"ja stop playing with me. ian sleep with nobody so you can stop that. i was having a good time why you so bitter."

"never bitter but aight. ian even finna argue with you. good night" he said turning to face the wall.

i don't even know what his problem is cus ain't do nun. and i most definitely ain't sleep with nobody he act like it's a crime for me to have fun one time.

"morning mommy" i said running to hug her.

"morning my love. how'd you sleep ?" she asked.

"good but i had dream someone carried me to my bed. it was weird" i said making her look up at me. "what ?" i asked.

"that's wasn't a dream baby. i came down here to get water and you were in here slump with your laptop and books open. so i carried you to your bed" she said smiling.

"ohh. i am so happy your home. i missed you so much. oh i have to show you something i will be back" i said excitedly going to get the flowers bryce bought me.

i came back down and handed them to her and she gasped. "aww this is cute. i love this" she said. i showed her the picture of the cafeteria decorated.

"okay bryce. i love this for you love bug. this is cute" she said making me smile. my dad walked into the kitchen and he looked mad.

"morning dad" i said. "morning princess" he said kissing my forehead.

i could definitely feel the tension in the room. what the heck happened ? i thought they would be all lovey dovey since mom is back.

"okay i can feel the tension what happened ?" i asked.

"nun im vibin" my dad said.

"you want coffee baby ?" my mom asked him.

he shook his head no not looking up from his phone.

"jamel please man. this is childish. grow up man" my mom said looking at him.

"nah what's childish is going out looking like your single. ain't nun insecure about that except the fact that you were to drunk to even know your name" my dad said.

"i was not drunk jamel. yes i drank a lot i was only a little tipsy. i knew exactly where i was and what was happening. you tripping".

"yeah okay"

"gianna here's your breakfast go eat in the living for me love bug" my mom said. i nodded and grabbed my phone and plate.

i could still hear them arguing and it made me sad. ik it's normal in couples but i don't want them to fight.

"do you jackie it is what it is man" my dad told her.

"see why you keep doing that ? stop shutting me out and talk to me jamel"

"ian got sh** else to say"

"first of all bring your tone down and second of all watch yo mouth. i don't understand what your mad about. the fact that i was drinking or-

"it's not about that jackie"

"oh so what i was wearing ? omg did someone tell you i did something or what cus i will never understand what was wrong with my outfit" my mom said.

"yeah. okay im finna hit the gym so imma catch you later ma" he said grabbing his bag.

"bye princess" my dad said kissing my forehead.

"bye dad" i mumbled.

"jamel" my mom said and he just left. i slowly got up and walked to the kitchen were i saw her with her head in her hands.

"you okay mommy ?" i asked. she looked up at me and her eyes were filled with tears.

"mhm i'm fine baby" she said as she wiped her face. i hugged her.

"im sorry you had to hear that. ionk what's wrong with ya daddy" she said.

"that's okay i understand couples fight" i said. she smiled at me and we sat down.

"now tell me everything that i missed while i was gone" she said making me smile.

i hope that my dad is okay. i hate seeing them fight but ik that it's normal for couples to fight and stuff but i hope that they work it out soon.
