"FINAL STAGE OF AWAKENING!"
I raised my eyebrows as the Daleks removed their plungers from the arc, leaving behind a sphere that was glowing red with heat.
"YOUR HANDPRINT WILL OPEN THE ARK!" The Daleks demanded all turning their gns on me.
"Yeah, no, sorry. That's not going to happen." I said dryly, picking absently at my nails.
"OBEY OR THE HUMANS WILL DIE!"
"In that case, its definitely not happening," I said, my voice low as I glared at each of the Daleks in turn. "If they get so much as a scratch on them, You don't get anything. I have ways of absorbing every ounce of artron energy in this room and putting it somewhere you will never be able to access. Don't believe me? Well, that's your mistake."
I was lying out of my arse of course, but they didn't need to know that.
"PLACE YOUR HAND ON THE CASKET!"
"YOU'RE NOT IN CHARGE HERE!" I shouted back. Rose stepped up beside me.
"If you um...escaped the Time War...don't you want to know what happened?" She asked.
"PLACE YOUR HAND-"
"What happened to the Emperor?" She continued, sounding as far away from scared as you could get.
"THE EMPEROR SURVIVED?!" The black Dalek asked.
"Til me met me." Rose retorted. I pressed my lips together, suppressing a smile. "Cause if these are gonna be my last words, then you're gonna listen. I met the Emperor. I took the time vortex, poured it into his head, and turned him into dust. Did you get that? The god of all Daleks...and I destroyed him."
She laughed.
"YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!" I grabbed Rose, pushing her behind me.
"Oh, now hold on, wait a minute..." I let out a sigh of relief as we all turned towards the suddenly open door to the lab.
The Doctor was standing in the doorway, 3D glasses on his face and his hands in his pockets.
"ALERT! ALERT! YOU ARE THE DOCTOR!"
"SENSORS REPORT HE IS UNARMED!"
"That's me, always." The Doctor said, walking over to stand with us in the center of the Daleks.
"THEN YOU ARE POWERLESS!"
"Not me. Never," He shot back, taking off his glasses and turning his gaze towards me, "How are you? How's this lot?"
"Oh, can't complain," I quipped, "We were just in the neighborhood, thought we'd stop by."
"Oh, good! You know, I thought to do the same," He agreed, "And Micketty-Mick-Mickey, nice to see ya!"
He lifted his hand in a fist bump, which Mickey returned.
"You too, boss." Mickey replied.
"SOCIAL INTERACTION WILL CEASE!" The Daleks interrupted, "HOW DID YOU SURVIVE THE TIME WAR?!"
"By fighting. On the front line." The Doctor replied. "I was there at the Fall of Arcadia."
I bit my lip, imagining what the circumstances would have had to look like in order for a great city like Arcadia to fall...none of them good.
"Some day, I might even come to terms with that," He continued, turning his head to meet my eyes. He took his hand out of is pocket, grabbing my hand. "But you lot ran away!"
