Once we'd finished talking to all of the teachers, all that was left to do was wait until night fall so we could break into the school and take a look around.

"Why'd you linger around so long with John Smith?" Sarah Jane questioned once we'd gotten back to the car.

"Because, if something suspicious is going on, he's got to be our number one suspect." She shot me a skeptical look. "If it weren't obvious enough that he was acting like a total weirdo, he gave us the most basic name on the planet and when I asked him to show me his identification, he just flashed a blank bit of paper at me."

"That is rather odd," She admitted, "But I didn't get the sense that the man was nefarious in anyway. He might just be a peculiar man."

"Well, whatever he is, he turns my stomach." I said, combing through the photos on my camera until I reached the one of him. Even just looking at his picture gave me an odd sort of feeling, and the feeling was only escalated by him touching me.

"Right then. Come on, let's go." We got out of the car and I grabbed my messenger bag, pulling out the torches. I usually carried around anything we might need: Torches, spare batteries, lock pick, things of that variety.

We made our way over to a classroom on the first floor and I forced the window open, letting Sarah Jane climb through first before following after her and closing the window behind me.

"Ok, where to first?" I whispered.

"Let's check out Finch's office. I don't trust that man one bit." She said. I nodded, allowing her to lead the way while keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. Once we reached the headmaster's office I fished the lock pick out of my bag and handed it to her while keeping watch. She crouched down in front of the door, beginning to pick the lock, when all of a sudden, we heard a menacing screech sound.

My eyes widened and I put a hand back, telling Sarah Jane to stay where she was. I slowly peered around the corner. There was nothing else in the hallway, but the screeching was still very much present and the shadow of wings could be seen passing through the windows.

"We should hide." Sarah Jane told me, grabbing my arma nd pulling me over to a pair of double doors. We ducked inside, Sarah slowly closing the door behind us. My eyes searched the room, instantly coming to stop on something rather odd.

A large blue police call box sat in the middle of the room, and the sight of it sent a chill down my spine. Images began filtering through my head, and I squeezed my eyes shut at the sight of a line of silver cylinders followed by a variety of other shapes. The images in my brain stopped at the box that stood before me, triggering a splitting headache. I held my head, stumbling backwards, only to be caught by Sarah Jane.

"Mary?" She asked, glancing between me and the box.

"What is that thing?!" I whispered, looking at her. She just looked at me, causing me to stand up straight so that I could look at her head on. I tried my best to ignore the pounding in my head. "You know...don't you?"

"Its the TARDIS," She answered, pulling the door open and stepping out of it, holding it for me, "Its the Doctor's ship, which means-"

Her words were cut off because as we turned to walk down the hall we saw Mr. John Smith standing there, now wearing a long brown trench coat. It was pushed aside on one end and he had his hand buried in his pants pocket, looking at us with a serious expression. I pushed Sarah Jane behind me, holding a hand out towards him.

"Don't come any closer!" I warned, wincing as my head began to throb.

"Mary...I think its alright." She said, putting a hand on my arm. I glanced at her, but stepped back beside her nonetheless.
