It was nighttime, Catnap was outside his house leaning against the garage door, he was smoking his cigarette with the strangely red smoke. The street had very little movement, with pedestrians and cars, both quite absent, but there were also speedsters with their cars and motorbikes at high speed.
— Did you adopt a child, Cat? This is new... you've never thought of this kind of thing — in the shadow of a streetlight, a black figure appears, with red eyes and a hideous smile.
— Ten Zero Six… — from a magical compartment, the cat takes out an umbrella, opens it and makes a shadow near it, the object is soon thrown to the ground — what do you want this time?
— Well... clear up a doubt — only the eyes and smile of this being appear in the shadow — it's not every day that someone like you adopts a child.
— You know what I'm going to do, don't be cynical — he inhaled a little on the cigarette.
— Gimmicky idea — the shadow took the umbrella and raised it to make the shadow bigger and stand on the side, the height of Catnap — trust me, my idea is much better — I stared at him closely, you could even feel even a breath.
— Do you really think I'm going to follow the idea of a demon? It doesn't matter to me to do something like that — he picked up the umbrella and closed it quickly — I'm not an idiot.
— The bear girl, kill her... it's the best option — he said before disappearing when exposed to the streetlight.
— Humph… as if I would listen to a demon.
Finishing his cigarette after a few pulls, he put out what was left on his arm, the butt was taken inside and thrown into a trash bin.
The house was small, there was only one room, the one sleeping in the bed was Catnap's new son, the recently adopted Dogday, the feline didn't care much about sleeping on the floor and soon grabbed a pillow and a sheet, lay down on the floor and didn't took a while to sleep.
“Adopting a child wasn’t in my plans… weirdly I did it and I don’t know why, crazy.”
The night was cold, there was no need for a fan and the two slept peacefully, that being made of shadows watched his vessel, Catnap, and his new conquest, his adopted son.
— Hehe... inducing him to do this was the best thing, training him will be the next step, having someone to lean on is the best way to make someone release more power easily — said Ten Zero Six, his voice was not heard and did not disturb the sleep of those two.
The next morning, the room starts to heat up with the rise of the sun, it doesn't take long for Dogday to wake up to the heat, his bright little eyes are soon wide open. The puppy sat down and his tail began to wag when he saw his new father…
“Ah… that's right, I can't wake him up, it's disrespectful…” thought Dogday as he unwrapped himself, then folded the blanket and made the bed.
From his bag, he took the toothbrush and toothpaste he used, went to the bathroom, brushed his teeth and washed his face. Dogday did all of this as quietly as possible so as not to wake Catnap, the last step is to leave the room, he managed it with almost no noise.
The boy tried to make breakfast with what he had, some milk that had been warmed on the stove, and some biscuits to go with it. Once everything was placed on the table, he sat down and began to eat calmly, it wasn't a very common thing for him to eat, but he tried.
In the room, Catnap slowly opened his eyes after a certain time, his tail unwrapped him and he immediately sat up, it didn't take long before he realized that Dogday wasn't in bed, he smiled and then yawned.
