Catnap was taken to prison, and everything he owned was taken from him—not just his identification, documents, and fingerprints, but also his property, that is, only his house and the car he bought, a Lamborghini. The house was closed, with only Dogday's belongings being handed over to the boy. His custody was revoked, but Kickin later adopted him.
The chicken had no passage, so it was completely allowed.
Catnap's entire imprisonment had been reported on television and radio; the cat was in virtually every sense of the Ancestral population. Dogday spent the entire day "stuck" in his room, looking desolate. Crafty and Hoppy tried to cheer him up, but... it didn't work.
Kickin wasn't doing so well either. After all, Catnap was arrested, even though he consented to the arrest, it wasn't what he thought. The cat received a one hundred and twenty-year sentence in a completely closed regime, that is, solitary confinement.
Ancestra's prisons follow an extreme "anti-magic" protocol, placing bracelets and collars on criminals that inhibit any trace of their powers from being used. The walls of the entire prison are made of modified iron to strengthen with each blow, meaning there is no escape.
Far away, long before Catnap surrendered, the Bugatti stopped somewhere in the forest surrounding the city, Bobby got out with the star in his hand, it shone softly.
— Ah yes… the star, but now… my kitten is trapped, he doesn't know it but I've been watching his every step for a while now, Catnap… he doesn't exist — the bear looked at the moon as she walked away from the car.
She pulled out a small object with a button. Pressing the button, the Bugatti completely dismantled, piece by piece, even the engine. Bobby lifted the star to chest height, where it began to float upward.
After a certain height it falls back into Bobby's hands;
"What? I... I won't get my wish!?" she said, gritting her teeth. "What a shame!! I put in a lot of effort to get you, and when I do, my wish won't come true!?"
She screamed at the star and even threatened to throw her to the ground. The bear fell to her knees, and the star fell in front of her. With tears in his eyes, Bobby begged for forgiveness, asked for his heart necklace to regenerate, and promised that he would never commit another crime like the ones he had committed for over thirty years...
The star shone, faintly but still, Bobby's heart necklace, which had previously been split in half by a crack, returned to normal, flawless. Her designer dress and jewelry were gone, the wrecked car vanished, and all the other vehicles disappeared as well.
Everything that belonged to Bobby and that was obtained through his crimes, disappeared;
— Hmm? How...? Wasn't I unfair? Why... why did you grant these wishes for me? — He stared at the yellow jewel.
Some time later, she appears in his domain. His henchmen barely understand anything, as everything has disappeared. Bobby explains what happened and says they will be free for an indefinite period of time, as she will call them if she needs anything.
She made some analogies before entering the domain: "If I wasn't worthy of the wish upon a star, then no one with me will be worthy of the star." And after everyone left, she went to sleep...
After a while, Dogday finally managed to open his mouth and talk to his friends and his new father. What he asked was simple: “I want to see the cat.”
Kickin thought it was strange, the girls were happy because he spoke after days, the boy was not well, he did not show a smile or a more open or energetic look, even with the girls jumping with joy beside him.
His new father on paper, granted this request and took him directly to the prison where the cat was confined;
Even though the cell was larger than Catnap had imagined, it still felt cramped, until the door opened. With a weary look, he simply watched without moving, as the guard announced: "You've got a visitor."
— Visitor? I'm not expecting anyone, but let's see who it will be… — he stood up, was handcuffed, and taken to the visiting room.
— Dad..? — the boy waited, sitting on the chair, with his little arms resting on the table.
— Guh!! Dogday… — he said nervously as they removed his handcuffs, he approached and sat on the other side, unable to look at the boy.
— Catnap… tell me, is what Kickin told me true? — the puppy asked, looking at the cat's face.
— Whatever… it is, yes, it's true.
— He told me that this isn't the life you wanted, Bobby put you on this path because he had talent behind the wheel... she used you to get what she wanted.
— Jail was the solution; staying here was my way of escaping her clutches! I'm here because I want to be, and if I leave, there's a risk she'll drag me back into this life if her wish isn't fulfilled! — He raised his voice and even banged on the table.
Catnap's fur stood on end, his fangs bared, and this drew a frightened look from the boy. The cat got up from his chair and headed for the door, where he knocked and called for the guard... he was removed, and the visit was over.
— I thought it would last longer… but it didn’t, just now that we know the cost of bail… — Kickin commented, very worried.
— Seven million… do you have that money? “Dad”?
— It's all I have, my balance will go to zero and it will be difficult to recover even one percent of it — he replied nervously.
— I had an idea… it will take some time, but it will do the trick.
