DAISY BLACKWOOD

I was sitting at our local restaurant with Luca. It was the weekend and every weekend me and Luca have these small dates somewhere. Last time we went to a library.

Although the term working would be more accurate rather than date because we just finished our assignments.

For example, right now. I was finishing my marketing project which was for extra credit while Luca was doing something of his.

And to be honest I actually didn't want to study today. Rory and Aurora are having some dumb party and I just wanted to be there with them. But I also understand the importance of extra credits.

Finishing the assignment is the safe option and I always try to go for the safe option rather than the risky one which my heart desires most of the time.

Luca also told me how important extra credits are. Like a few points literally can change your whole career.

I like this habit of Luca. He always thinks through and encourages me to things that will benefit me in the future.

"Oh my, dears. Have a break. Your assignments can wait!" the owner of the bar said as she made her way toward us.

She brought us a couple of pastries that she just took out from the oven. "Now, I want that book and the laptop closed." Me and Luca chuckled as we followed Pamela's order.

Pamela is in her late 40's and is a sweetheart. I have known her for the past three years, basically since she opened the bar.

"Now you guys make me feel like an actual dummy when I started dating." I laughed as I took a sip of my green tea. "And why is that?" Luca asked.

"When I started dating, I was careless. We both were. We were stupid and crazy. Not cautious at all. We broke all the rules we could. Didn't care about anything. We were wild. And I mean really wilddd."

My eyes slightly widened at the double meaning. I didn't even look at Luca. Because all we had were a few make out sessions. Nothing else.

"But now that I see you guys, all cautious and careful. Always studying and thinking about the future, it seems suffocating to me. You are young. Live and laugh. There might be no tomorrow."

Luca chuckled as she left out sight. That was Pamela's moto. Live and laugh.

"She is actually carefree." Luca told me as I nodded with a smile. Sometimes all I want to be is like her.

Carefree and wild.

But her and my lives are different. I have responsibilities.

Will I ever experience something crazy? What would that be like? I have been so careful my whole life that till this day I have not had a single period blood stain on my bed.

At first I didn't think it was this crazy but when I shared it with Aurora and Rory, they were shocked. Aurora was like 'what the fuck you wear? A diaper?' and then Rory was like 'even if I wear two diapers, I'm going to stain my bed sheet anyway.'

I received a few texts from Rory and Aurora. One was a video of them dancing like wild animals and the other one was a food video.

I flipped my phone upside down before I actually got up and went there.

Another thirty minutes passed. I was done with my assignment. Just needed to recheck it before submitting.

Luca was done as well. "Oh crap. I had to meet Damon." "You can go. I'm also done." "Are you sure?" "yea yea. No worries."

He smiled and got up. Leaning towards me he planted a small peck on my lips, making me blush.

"Bye." "Bye."

After submitting the assignment, I stretched my arms over my head. I turned off my laptop as Pamela made her way towards me.

"Are you done, dear?" "Yes I am, ma'am." she smiled and sat on the seat where Luca was. "I saw your boyfriend leaving earlier." "Yeah, he had to meet Damon." She knows who Damon is so I don't have to explain it.

"Saw him kissing you as well." I chuckled but didn't say anything. "But didn't see the spark in your eyes."

"Spark?"

"Yea. The spark that consumes you and is visible all over your face." "Well, we just started dating so the spark will probably come later?"

She just nodded. She doesn't seem convinced so I pushed some more.

"And he is a great guy, you know. Our thoughts are similar. We share the same view on a lot of things and we just get each other."

"I know, dear. You guys are like the same piece of a puzzle. But if you want to solve the puzzle, you need a different piece. Something different that completes you."

Oh...okay.

Speechless.

Never thought from this perspective.

Pamela planted a small kiss on my forehead and left as customers were coming in. And I just sat there, her words echoing in my ears over and over again.
