DAISY BLACKWOOD

Groaning loudly, I opened my eyes. Agh my neck hurts. My whole body hurts. Since when my bed is so hard. Slowly my sleepiness started to wear off and I realised I was sleeping on the couch and my whole body was freezing.

The reality was finally settling.

What happened with Rose and dad and everything else that happened after that. Oh god. What kind of nightmare was that? But it was not a nightmare though.

I rushed to the washroom and I hated being right for the first time. The bruise on my lips told me it indeed wasn't a dream.

Wait, was Rose behind it? Did she know? Aaron. I have to get him from there. That girl is a trouble. I got ready as fast as possible and made my way to my car while calling Damon.

"Good morning, dais-mais." "Damon, I am in a rush. I will explain everything to you later. Can you come over and change the locks of my house? Someone broke in last night."

"What? Are you fine?" "Yea yea I am fine. I am going to get Aaron so in the meantime please fix my apartment."

"Okay. I'm coming over but I would like to know the whole story when you're back."

The whole story.

Should I tell him the truth? I mean I should but it will just add more pressure on him. He will get angry and do something impulsive.

So that isn't an option.

After driving for a while I was back in front of the house I was last night. Suddenly a rush of guilt burst through my veins as I thought of last night. I texted Aaron that I'm here.

Aaron : Isabella asked if you want to come inside for breakfast

Me : No. I'm running late. Hurry up.

Aaron : coming.

I closed my eyes and inhaled and exhaled through my nose.

The gate opened and I saw Aaron with Rose. Aaron waved at me. I gave him a tight smile while me and Rose just shared a silent eye contact.

They both hugged each other and Aaron finally got inside the car. "The sibling bonding is going perfect I see." "It is but I can't say the same about you two." We shared one last eye contact before I drove away. "Don't expect much anyway." He didn't say anything else.

"What happened to your lips?" Oh dear lord I forgot about the most visible bruise over my mouth.

My cheeks and ears burned at the memory of last night.

"I...the cereal box fell on my face."

Cereal box? Seriously?

"Cereal box? It looks like an angry cat scratched your lip."

Angry cat? More like a psychopathic bear.

"Or was it Luca?" I gave him a look that told him not to continue anymore. Discussing my sex life with my little brother is the last thing I would do. But the mere mention of Luca's name made my heart clench. It feels like I cheated on him. I let out a deep sigh and focused on the road.

"So how was last night?" "Pretty good. Anthony wasn't leaving my side at all. When he fell asleep dad took him to his room."

Dad.

"Hmm did he say something to you?" "No, nothing much. But he said he is preparing two rooms for us and if we want we can move in. But he didn't look good enough."

"What do you mean didn't look good enough?" "I don't know but when he came to pick Anthony up last night, he looked somehow a mess. Not psychically. As in mentally. Like something was bothering him. I asked him if everything was fine and he said it was."
