DAISY BLACKWOOD

The second round started and I couldn't look away. This guy looked at me so many times, at some point even Rory asked me why was he staring into my soul. And I just simply shrugged my shoulders.

When Cal had complete control, I felt the one thing that I wasn't supposed to feel. Relief. He was about to beat someone up and I was happy? Happy that it's not him getting beaten?

Suddenly two hands covered my eyes. My heart skips a beat as I quickly turn around. My eyes widened slightly. Luca? He smiled at me. "Hey you." I smiled awkwardly? Because what on earth was he doing here? "Hi. When did you come back?" "Couple hours ago. I went to surprise you but you weren't at home so I texted Rory and here I'm."

Suddenly he kissed me. And it wasn't his usual peck. Seconds later he pulled away. "Ahh I missed you, baby." "I missed you too." I said back and he kissed me again. This time I quickly pulled away as I heard Giulia shouting Cal. I looked in front of me and oh my god! One second the other guy couldn't even touch him and the next second Cal's face is covered in blood.

My heart sank. What was happening? It was not just Giulia but also Raven and Hunter. And at some point even Rose was telling him to tap. My heartbeat fastened with each punch he was receiving. His eyes fell on me. No. They were always on me. Oh God. Don't tell me it is what I'm thinking it is.

I was damn sure my heart stopped working and the emotion I was feeling just by looking at him was indescribable. "Why the fuck is he staring at you?" Giulia asked me. I gulped. I don't know why I was feeling guilty. I could feel Luca's had tightened around me.

Cal looked at me one last time before returning his gaze to his opponent. And not to be dramatic but he had that beasty look on his face. He was looking feral. And he delivered the strongest and the deadliest punch I have ever seen. The other guy almost flew out of the ring.

The sound of a loud gasp echoed in the room followed by loud cheering. Noah, Raven and Hunter were inside the ring in a second, holding Cal as he was about to fall as well. Two other guys enter the ring with their first aid kit. When other people were cheering and screaming for him, he looked at me. Again. With blood covering his features. And in that moment I knew I have never felt something like this.

Something so potent yet so weak, relief but anxious. He looked at me like it was my fault and he is going to ruin me for it. And the weirdest part is I was feeling guilty.

We all drove to Raven's apartment since it was the nearest place from the hospital. Noah and Raven were in the hospital with Cal. Everybody was silent. What happened today was unexpected. Even though Cal won in the end, it didn't matter anymore. Everyone was worried about him.

Rory put her hands on my thigh, stopping me from moving them too much. I gave her a tight smile.

Moments later Noah and Raven walked through the door but there was no Cal with them. Oh God.

Hunter and Giulia walked towards them. "What happened? How is Cal?" Giulia asked. "The doctor said Cal needs full rest for a couple of days and in the meantime they will run a few tests. If he doesn't have any internal bleeding, he will recover soon but if there is, he needs to go through an operation."

My breaths were heavy, my chest was heaving.

"So our plan for tomorrow is postponed. And it all depends on Cal's health." Noah added. Nobody said anything. With a heavy heart everyone was going their own way. Rose told me she will be waiting for me in the car. Luca also went to get his car out. I followed Raven into his kitchen to ask some questions about Cal.

As I was talking to Raven, I could see Noah approaching Rory.

After my brief conversation, we bid each other good night and I headed outside where Rory was waiting for me. "What did Noah say to you?" I asked. She almost rolled her eyes. "If I needed a ride home." I raised my eyebrows in surprise. "What did you say?" "Nothing." "You ignored him?" She just shrugged as if it's nothing.
