ROSE FERRARI
"Mom, I am going to bed. I am tired." I heard the little princess lie shamelessly to her mother and a chuckle left my mouth. She is going to sneak out now.
"Rosie, can you bring me water?" I looked at my baby brother. "Yes, teddybear." I kissed his cheek and went into the kitchen.
I poured him a glass of water and took a soda for me. I made him sit on the counter as he drank his water. I smiled and ruffled his hair.
I still couldn't fathom how much Lana's boyfriend looked like him. Probably it's not the case. He was just far and looked like Anthony.
Isabella, Anthony's mom, came into the kitchen as well. "Hello, my dears." I simply gave her a smile as she wrapped her arms around Anthony.
"Let's go, baby. Tomorrow you have school." Isabella got Anthony down and turned to me. "Take care. See you at home." She kissed my cheek slightly and made her way out of the house.
I was staring at her until she vanished from my sight. She was a beautiful lady with green eyes and blonde hair, quite opposite from my biological mother.
The last time I saw her, I was three. So, memorising her face was not an option. But from my dad's description I figured out that I look like her a lot.
Olive skin tone. Dark brown hair. Amber eyes.
I have never seen her picture because they were all burned in the fire. And in the same fire, I lost her and my twin sister. Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if my twin was alive.
After the incident I was raised by my dad. Even though I didn't have anyone to grow with, my dad was always there. Dad dedicated his whole life to me. He didn't live for anything but me.
In that fire, my dad lost his desire to live. But I wanted him to leave. And then Isabella came into his life. At first Isabella was just his best friend's relative but then she became something more and more.
But it was not exactly easy. My dad had no plan of getting remarried. But he did. For me.
They fell in love and got married soon after. She brought back the desire in my dad's heart and I love her for it. I also love her for giving me a baby brother. He looks just like dad. Dark hair and blue eyes.
I am personally not that close with her and I don't plan to be. I like the way we are now. My relationship with her is that one classmate you rarely talk to but still have a good connection with.
Even though he is in love with Isabella, I just know he still loves my mom. Till this day, that tragic accident affects him.
He still has the bracelet that my mom made for him when they were teenagers. He does not wear it of course. But just like the bracelet he carries all the memories of my mom.
And Isabella knows it. And instead of getting jealous or mad at my dad like most women would do, she respects it. She understands it.
Because my dad never fell out of love. It was just the tragic incident that separated them.
I could see it from the kitchen that Isabella's car left. She left from the other gate, not the main one. She always does it because she doesn't want to interact with people. I mean judging her family, I agree.
I was about to leave the kitchen but I saw someone leaving on a bicycle, using the same path. My lips curled into a smirk as I knew exactly who that was.
I made my way to the garden where everyone was. As much as I hate social gathering, I don't mind being around them.
"What's up, RosieRose?" Cal said as he noticed me making my way to them. "What's up, douchebag?"
"Ouch that actually hurt." he replied, putting a hand over his heart. "We are playing a game. Would you like to join?" Raven asked, Cal's younger brother.
"Depends. What is it?" I asked as I sat next to Giulia. "You have to pick a card from the bowl and one of our names will be written on it. And you have to share an opinion about that person." Giulia explained.
"That's all?" "yea basically. But the opinions gotta be juicy or controversial."
"So you in, Rosie?" Noah asked. Oh hell yeah.
"Yea. let's do it." Hunter was the first to go. "I got Raven." he said as he opened his card. "Okay Raven, I think your cooking is absolute shit. Especially sushi. Like that raw shit makes me wanna fucking puke."
They all burst into laughter. I stayed silent. We did another round and this time it was Cal's turn. He unfolded his card and it was me. He was smirking at me. I think I know what he is going to say.
"Rose Ferrari, I think you still think about the time when we made out and fantasise about it every night."
I heard a couple of gasps around me but I was just looking at Cal. "what the fuck! When did you make out with Rose?" Raven asked his brother and he just shrugged. "It was a long time ago." I said
Noah was laughing too hard. Let me just burst your bubble now.
It was my turn. I unfolded my card and it was Selena but I said Noah's name. "Noah." "Waiting Rosie."
"You think you know your little sister so well, right? Well guess what? She's lying to your face and doing things behind your back. And you have no clue."
The stupid smile dropped from his face. "What the fuck are you talking about, Rose?" "About your inability to know your sister."
"Talk clearly." Cal said. "saw your little princess kissing her prince today. And guess what, she sneaked out of the house to meet him probably."
Noah took two large steps toward me and he was already occupying my space. "I swear to God, if you're lying, I'll..." "You will what? You can still stop your sister, you know? She left on a bicycle about twenty minutes ago.
"Fuck!" Noah cursed.
"Let's find her." Cal said from behind. "she probably isn't that far."
Cal and Noah were already on their bikes.
"These two will probably kill the guy. Let's follow them." Raven and Hunter got into Hunter's car while me, Giulia and Selena got into my car.
