CHAPTER 26

DAISY BLACKWOOD

Next morning I woke up with 100+ texts from the girl's group.

My eyes widened when my eyes fell on the photo Aurora had sent. A car that was vandalised badly. And not just any car. It was Luca's car.

Me: wtf happened? Is Luca okay?

They didn't view the text right away so I called Luca instead. My heart is beating fast. He picked up after two rings.

"Luca, are you okay" "Yea, I am fine." I let out a breath in relief. "What happened to your car? Who did that?" "I don't know. It was fine last night and I didn't hear anything unusual as well." "Oh God. Did you call the police or check the cctv footage?" "I did. They are on their way. The cctv cameras are broken as well. Damon is trying to get the footage from last night." "Okay okay. I will be there within a few minutes."

I quickly got ready and made my way to Luca's.

I took a deep breath and observed Luca's car from the window. All the glasses were shattered into a million pieces. The side of the car was scratched and there was written "FUCKER" in capital letters.

Meanwhile Damon managed to get a four second footage from the CCTV camera before it was destroyed. Someone wearing all black and had a mask on. No body parts could be identified. But judging by the physical appearance, that's definitely a man.

Who could it be? Luca isn't the type to have enemies.

"Are you sure you didn't have any interaction with someone that wasn't pleasant? Because that is straight up a threat." "No. That's what I don't understand. Last week I was busy with work and projects. I didn't even get to meet you."

"That is fucked up." I said. "Yes it is." "I think you and Aurora should crash at my place for the next few days." "Oh don't worry about it. I already talked to my dad and he said me and Aurora should go back home next week."

Oh.

"So...you are leaving when?" He looked at his watch. "In an hour. I have to do some packing." He gave me a quick kiss and went downstairs.

What the hell just happened?

I took a deep breath and took out my phone, checking the group texts from earlier.

Aurora : fuck fuck fuck

Rory : bitch u good?

Aurora : nah. Dad just told me and Luca to come over for a week!!!

Rory : wtf

Rory : just tell him you will stay at my place or Daisy's for the next week

Aurora : i did. I did. But you know how he is. And it was Luca's idea

Rory : wtf pt 2. And why on earth luca would do that???

Rory : @daisy stop your boyfriend

Aurora : i swear luca is so fucking dramatic. I don't wanna go for one fucking week

I closed the chat, feeling weird.

I didn't expect Luca to tell me everything but I also didn't expect him to leave out of nowhere without even talking to me about it. You know what? Probably I am thinking too much. Probably it's for the best that he and Aurora leave town for a week. What if the guy from yesterday does something even worse?

Luca comes back a few minutes later with a small luggage. "All done." I gave him a tight smile. "Let me see if Aurora needs some help." I said before attempting to leave. But held onto my wrist. I looked back at him as he came forward and closed the door.
