Almost tripping down the stairs, I rushed through the main entrance and crossed the door.

The drizzle stung my skin, and I let my knees hit the ground, feeling the wet grass of the manor's front garden through the dress fabric.

I kissed Ominis.

He kissed me back, didn't he?

Then he rejected me.

Why?

Tears rolled down, mixed with the cold rain.

"Carolyn?? What- what happened?"

Sebastian's fast steps approached, and then he kneeled next to me, placing his hands on my arms. His eyes widened in concern, attempting to find my gaze.

I could barely speak through ragged gasps, drowning me. My eyes were only partially open, swollen.

"I..." My shoulders heaved. "Ominis..."

He took me in his arms, holding me tight. "You don't have to tell me. It is okay..."

I sniffed several times before managing to form words again. "I thought... When I kissed him... He took me in his arms, and his hands were all over my body..."

Sebastian's body stiffened, pulling me away and clenching on my shoulders. "WHAT?? Wait... Did Ominis touch you?" He said with a louder, harsh voice.

"I thought... he wanted me..."

"Carolyn. Listen to me. Did Ominis touch you?" He hissed through his teeth.

My eyes were foggy and soaked but finally met his gaze, and I saw piercing darkness in his fully dilated pupils.

"Sebastian... I wanted him to touch me... I love Ominis..."

"Stay here. I will be right back and we will go back to Hogwarts, okay?"

He walked away stomping his feet until there were no other sounds around besides my breath hitching and the light wind blowing the drizzle.

I could still feel Ominis' warm soft lips on mine.

I had waited so long for this.

So fucking long.

And I ruined it.

I pressed my hands on my face, pushing my fingers into my eyes to make the ache stop.
