My sight went completely black and I was pulled into a whirl of shadows.

As the black fog dissipated, forms took shape - though somewhat vivid, it had the typical blur one would expect to see when looking into a pensieve

As the black fog dissipated, forms took shape - though somewhat vivid, it had the typical blur one would expect to see when looking into a pensieve.

A blonde woman with neatly braided hair was sitting on an armchair, staring at the main door of the house we were in. By the garments she was wearing and the appearance of the residence, it was indeed 1603 as the diary stated.

Another woman with similar facial features walked in. "Gormlaith?? What are you doing in my house unannounced?" She pulled her wand in surprise.

"Hello, Rionach. I assume you'd like me to make myself comfortable as I waited for you. So I found my way in." She stood up and tilted her head. "Where have you been, sister? I've been waiting all afternoon."

Rionach flared her nostrils and put her wand away. "At the village with William, my husband, of course."

"Helping filthy muggles again??" Gormlaith scoffed with a grimace.

"They need our healing abilities. They need us!"

"You are a disgrace to the Gaunt family, Rionach. How dare you use magic in their aid??"

"I am not a Gaunt anymore, Gormlaith," Rionach vociforated. "I am a Sayre now. And I am proud to carry my husband's name. And don't even get me started on how jealous you are of the unique magical capabilities that run in their family!"

"Leave now, Ms. Gaunt." A deep male voice echoed from behind me.

"William Sayre... On Salazar's name, the pure sight of you makes me retch." Gormlaith spoke through gritted teeth. "Rionach never sympathized with muggles before she met you! You twisted her mind!!"

William moved across the living room, taking Rionach's side. Then, he closed his hands in tight fists. "We will never support blood supremacists like you."

Gormlaith let out a wicked laugh, eyeing his arms. "Or what, Sayre?? You will use your repugnant magic against your kin?? You are an aberration!"

"I said, Leave now," He hissed. "Your presence here is not good for the baby."

Gormlaith's jaw dropped as her eyes darted up and down her sister's figure. "Baby?? I'll be damned! How dare you conceive a child that will carry the powerful, pure lineage of the Gaunt and Sayre families, if you plan on raising it among muggles? I curse you! All of you!"

Suddenly, I was surrounded by a whirl of colours and shadows.
