"And I think about summer, all the beautiful times
Realized I loved you in the fall
And then the cold came, the dark days when fear crept into my mind
You gave me all your love, and all I gave you was goodbye."

It had been 3 days already, and no sign of Ominis. That couldn't be good.

I was waiting for Sebastian by the door after our Muggle Studies class. "Nothing? No owls?" I whispered, pulling him to a corner.

"Nothing for me. I wonder if he ever received the owls we sent," he said with concern. "Do you think his family is suspicious of anything?"

"I kept my letters short. You know, in case they have been intercepting his mail after all that happened."

"Yes, I've been doing the same."

I leaned on the wall, giving my injured leg some rest. The pain was partially gone, but based on my experience with wounds during the battles in 5th year, that laceration was likely to leave permanent damage. Still, I was putting a lot of effort into not letting Sebastian notice.

Sebastian mused, considering the next steps. "I think we can agree that letters are no longer safe. We can't go to Headmaster Black or Phineas. Their families are too close, and Auguro mentioned the Headmaster being involved in the plot of your admission to Hogwarts... I don't even know who to trust anymore."

"But I thought Phineas was a close friend of yours and Ominis'..."

He hesitated for a moment, looking away. "Well... I haven't been on good terms with Phineas and Ominis ever since before summer, actually..."

He started pacing, immersed in his thoughts. His tie looked neat, I noticed. He had combed his hair as well. I feel my face betraying me, getting too warm - I should have been getting used to that already, shouldn't I?

He clapped his hands together, and his posture looked promising as if he just had an idea.

"Listen, I need to meet with my Arithmancy Professor right now and I can't be late. But I know who can help us: Professor Weasley, she is the only one I trust," he said. "What do you say, we meet at the Transfiguration class later today and then talk to her?"

"Yes, that sounds like a good plan. I will pay a visit to Nurse Blainey to have my leg checked, too."

He frowned and gently brushed down my arms. "Am I allowed to repeat myself and apologise again?"

"No, you are not allowed," I said with a smile while trying to hold back a soft laugh. "I will see you later, Sebastian."
