"This love is alive, back from the dead
These hands had to let it go free
And this love came back to me."

"So... For how long has my now favourite couple, Ominis and Phineas, been together?" I broke the silence first, asking Sebastian with genuine excitement but a discreet tone as we walked through the halls of the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower.

"Almost a year now. If I'm not wrong, it started during the summer after 5th year but only became official months later, I guess? It was supposed to be a well-kept secret from everyone... You know, given the extremely forbidden nature. I was the only one who knew because... Well... I might have walked into the Undercroft at a terrible, terrible time..."

He chuckled and blushed, scratching the back of his neck.

"The amount of times I showed up unannounced... I was lucky to have never interrupted anything, I suppose..." I cackled. "I understand why they never told me, but now I am truly delighted to learn about them. It only makes me want to fight harder against the Gaunts. If not for me, for Ominis and Phineas. They deserve to be happy."

The tower door opened to the Suspended Bridge, and the humid breeze that blew with the winds of a heavy storm engulfed us.

"Should we wait?" I asked him in a tone above the loud roaring of the pouring rain. "My hair gets all fuzzy when it's wet!"

"I have a better idea..." He smirked mischievously, discreetly angling forward and setting one foot ahead of the other. "I bet I can make it to the other side first!"

It was too late when my lips parted to reply because he had already sprinted away under the storm across the bridge, reaching the other side and seeking shelter beneath the door alcove. He waved his arm and yelled something, but I could barely see him through the dense curtain of the showering rain.

"Fine..." I mumbled to myself and started running, immediately regretting it as the slippery floor and the swaying of the hanging walkway made each step more terrifying than the other.

My pace decreased considerably to a slow walk, and I stared down at the spaced wooden planks, mindful of every step. It startled me when the bridge suddenly started undulating again, though I was almost still - it was Sebastian, running back to meet me halfway and gripping my wrist before I could even look up at him.

He pulled me across the rest of the walkway, and we clashed our backs against the stone wall on the other side. I first let out a breath I hadn't realised I was holding, and then we both burst into laughter.

Through gasps of air between his uncontrollable cackling, he mocked, "You're a sweet girl, but you are not made of sugar. No need to be terrified by a little rain..." He clutched his stomach as his chest moved up and down with his loud amusement.
