The First Trial 9#

(Nuru's POV)

"its ok, Hugo is a tough guy he'll be ok" I say trying to calm Varian down, "the portal closed before I could follow I don't know where he is!" Varian shouts tears starting to fall "Az help here" I whisper over to her she nods and walks over "I trust Nuru, Hugo is a big boy who can handle himself, he would want us to find a way out." Azzy says Varian wipes his face with his sleeve "Varian you know Hugo will be ok, have some faith in him ok?" Azzy asks Varian nods "good, come on I think I saw a clearing up ahead" she states, Varian wipes his tears and starts to walk.

I mouth a thank you to Azzy who just nods and helps Varian down the path. "Yong?" I ask turning around I see the boy dressed in red up a tree, "Yong what are you doing?!" I shout he looks down "I see the exist, if Azzy and Varian vere left they'll make it before the next shift in land" Yong states before sliding down the tree, we run to catch up with them making it barley out of the forest before the land shifts again, "and theres the caravan" Azzy comments, spoting the wooden structure.

"But no Hugo" Varian sighs "he'll be ok-" i stop talking when i hear voices, "in the Caravan" i whisper loudly, we all run inside peaking out the window "isn't that one of Donella's guards?" Yong whispers, I nod "great job Viggo" Donella apears from the woods with a familiar blonde in hand "they have Hugo" Varian breathes out sounding anxouise as he goes to stand up but i hold him down "no, you and Hugo will be in much more danger, we need to wait" i say he groans but sits back down.

i crack open the window more so we can hear their converstaion,"We have our precious Hugo back and I have a sneaky suspicion his friends are around somewhere" the gray haired woman says, "I'm not telling you shit" Hugo spits back she rolls her eyes, "we have ways of making traders talk" Viggo scoffs, harsh wind starts to blow giving me an idea, "Varian, Az, can you two get up front and get ready to run the Carvan down the road?" i ask Azzy looks at me "what are you up to Nuru?" she asks i smirk "you'll see" i state.

"Yong hold on to something" i state, "but i want to help" he argues, "not now Yong" i state, he groans and storms off to the bed, i use the high wind to hide my magic weveing it into the wind tripping up the two other gaurds with Donella before tripping her up. "what the-" she starts but Hugo is already running towards us, i snap open the window completly sticking my hand out, he jumps catching my hand as i pull him in "now!" i shout.

The Caravan starts to move, Viggo chasing after us, "step on it Varian!" i shout we speed down the road i peak out the window and see the guards have stopped chasing us, "looks like the first trial is going to be fun with them on our trail" Hugo comments breathing heavly "yeah no shit" i state, we follow the dirt path before the map veres us off the dirt and into the grass, i look over my shoulder and see Yong hasn't moved from the bed tinkering with something, i was about to go and talk to him when we come to a hault. "we're here" Azzy states through the window.

We all three step out as the two up front join us in front of the stone cave covered by a water fall. "Hugo!" Varian shouts running to his boyfriend, I roll my eyes "hey, i'm fine see not a scratch" Hugo says with a smile Varian then punches his shoulder "don't ever scare me like that again!" the black haired boy shouts Hugo holds his partner's hands "hey hair stripe breathe" Hugo says holding the shorter boy closer.

"you two are cute but quit the PDA we have a trial to attend to" Azzy calls over I nod in agreement, the boys blush and let go of each other's hands but stay close. "Yong stay with the Carvan we are going to need a quick escape if Donella shows up" Varian says shaking himself out of his embarrassed state, the youngest boy doesn't say anything just moves to the front and pulls the Carvan out of sight, is he upset with me?

"ready?" Varian asks we all nod i use my powers to keep the water off of us as we enter the cave. "hey Nuru can you read this?" Hugo asks i peak over his shoudler, "its Atlantica writing, simaler to star writing but very distinguishable differences" i mumble, "water trail, totems, danger, thats about all i can make out" i state "well that sounds lovely" Hugo comments sarcastically.
