Talia wakes up on the bed she was sharing with Alex, Owen is on a cot next to the bed. She looked over at the digital clock that read: 1:26
With a heavy sigh, she let her head fall back against her pillow her eyes finding the sleeping Feder, he looked so at peace when he slept, not stressed or worried, just peaceful.
Talia hadn't smoked in a few days and that's exactly what she needed, a few puffs to feel relaxed.
She slowly gets up, careful not to wake the two men and she stops at the dresser she was sharing with Owen, Alex had told them that he didn't want to unpack so they get the dresser to themselves.
She peels her jean shorts off and grabs a pair of cotton shorts putting them on instead, she instantly felt better when she slipped the soft material on. Her eyes fall on Owen's drawer and quietly she opens it and pulls out the small wooden box that holds a few rolled joints.
She grabs one and a lighter before she puts everything back the way it was and quietly slips out of the room. She decided it would be best to smoke outside so she made her way outside.
What she was unaware of was that Alex had woken up the second the blonde had gotten out of bed.
The brunette waits for the blonde to exit the room before he gets out of bed, waiting a minute before leaving the room.
He quietly walks to the front door and opens it, slipping outside. The brunette stood on the porch, his eyes adjusting to the dark so he could now see the outline of Talia lying out on a lounge chair facing the lake, away from him.
Talia replayed everything that had happened just a few hours ago as she took hits from the joint every few seconds. Her limbs started to tingle lightly.
"How are you feeling?" Alex's voice behind her started her causing her to jump slightly, the joint's light going out causing Talia to huff.
"You put the cherry out, and I feel fine," she mumbles as she sets the half-smoked joint on the grass next to the lighter. She was buzzed enough for her liking. Her eyes find Alex as he steps up to stand next to her chair.
"Sorry," he tells her.
"It's fine," she answers.
"You seem to say "fine" a lot," Alex turns to look at her "Do you ever mean it?" He questions.
"Sometimes," she shrugs answering honestly looking back at the lake, Alex does the same.
"So, Milan tomorrow, huh?" Talia questions breaking the silence.
"How did you know?" He questions.
"At the funeral, I heard your mom and dad talk about it," she explains, she felt...sad that he was leaving tomorrow and she couldn't figure out why.
He shakes his head "We're staying until Sunday," he tells her. This made her happy for some odd reason.
She nods and awkward silence fills the space, Talia stands up from the lounge chair and grabs Alex's hand ignoring the tingle that she felt touching his hand, it was probably just the weed.
"What are you doing?" Alex questions as the girl pulls him towards the lake.
"Night swim?" She questions, Alex stops causing her to turn to look at him.
"I'm not getting back in that water," he tells her.
"But you would," she challenges.
"Yeah?" Alex questions amused.
Talia nods and moves to stand in front of him, their chests almost touching "If I were to go into the lake right now and not come up, after a while, you would run to save me," she tells him matter-of-factly.
