Kai's POV

I had woken up this morning with the plans of going to the mall and getting Tori some stuff for her birthday. I was pretty excited considering in the past when we celebrated her birthday I couldn't give her even half of what I felt she deserved. I unfortunately, wasn't going by myself so I was currently in the living room talking with some of the boys while I waited on Nova to come downstairs.

"I'm tryna get like you Kai." Duke spoke while eating a spoonful of his cereal.

"What you mean?" I questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"Two in one night, that's crazy for real." He responded while shaking his head.

"Who the two?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"The one upstairs and the girl from the club, duh." Fanum chimed in.

"On God it's not like that, me and Tori just friends." I defended making them give me knowing looks.

"I aint never went on no shopping spree for my friend birthday." Duke said sarcastically, "Especially not with no other bitch." He continued.

"Well you just a bad friend." I said with a shrug hearing Nova approaching.

"What we going to the mall for again?" She questioned as she stood next to me.

"I want to get some stuff for my sister." I answered making Duke and Fanum bust out laughing.

She gave them a confused look before following behind me out the front door. Soon we got to the mall, and I quickly started going from store to store, grabbing things I thought she'd like.

"Damn I don't know what size she wear..." I mumbled to myself as I looked at the sneakers on the rack.

"Just call and ask her." Nova stated casually.

"Nah that'll ruin the surprise." I said putting the shoes down starting to wish I'd come by myself.

"Well can I get-" She started, "No come on." I quickly interrupted before heading to the checkout with the items for Tori.

I was pretty confident that she'd like them, but if she didn't I'd just take her shopping and let her pick what she wanted. After checking out, I checked my phone making sure she hadn't called or texted yet. I was cool after seeing she didn't because that just meant I had more time to get stuff together.

Toriana's POV

I opened my eyes making direct eye contact with both Pluto and Moon. I gasped out of fear as I quickly sat up on the sofa, placing my hand over my now racing heart.

"Y'all scared me." I expressed while greeting them with pets as they happily wagged their tails.

"Good boys." Dani praised from the kitchen making me look over at her.

"You making me breakfast?" I questioned as the pleasant aroma of food filled my nose. I wrapped myself in the blanket before moving to sit at her island.

"Yes, but I shouldn't be. What I told you about them damn pills Tori?" She fussed as she placed a plate down in front of me.

"I only took one." I mumbled causing her to throw a plastic fork at me, which I dodged.
