Tori's POV
I had never felt this miserable in my life. Every inch of my body ached, my nose was stuffed, and my head was throbbing. My throat felt like I swallowed a thousand razor blades, and the worst part was I could barely keep my eyes open. I was just so... tired. While I was suffering, Kai took this as his time to shine as a caretaker. Before getting sick I had planned to sort through my belongings and give things away to make room for new stuff, so that was his task for the day.
However, him sorting through things turned into AMP and others in his room, having a grand time with my wigs and browsing my clothes.
"Damn I wish I could fit this." Fanum said holding up a shirt of mine.
"Nigga put that down." Kai said, snatching it and adding it back to its designated pile. "This the stuff she giving to Xoie."
"Aye, can I take these? This girl I know birthday coming up...she might like a wig too." Duke said holding up the items to me.
"I don't care."
"Bet." He said making his own pile, making the other boys laugh at his antics.
after a few more minutes of all the back-and-forth, I couldn't take it anymore. I could feel myself growing more irritable as my cold worsened.
"Okay, that's enough," I said, my tone a little sharper than I meant it to be. "Everybody out."
They all sighed in disappointment but exited Kai's room as I requested. With them gone, Kai finished his task.
He turned back to me, his face full of amusement and a little concern. "Alright, that's everything. I'm gone get somebody to drop this off and bring you some food." he said.
I sighed, already sinking deeper into the bed. "Kai, I don't want any food. I just want to sleep."
"I'll make sure it's here when you're ready, though," he said.
A few minutes later, I heard his assistant knock and drop off a bag of food. Kai gave me a soft kiss on my forehead before heading out to grab it.
I sat there, slowly eating my ramen and hearing him get set up for a stream. I wasn't complaining as long as he left me in peace.
I could hear him talking to the chat as he hopped on stream. "Yo, chat, you won't see Tori today," he said, "because she's sick. But she says hi, though."
I grabbed my phone, typing out a quick text to him so he could show them.
Hey, guys! I'm alive, just a little sick. Love you all!
He held up the phone to the camera, showing my message.
After that, I barely stayed awake. My body was just too tired to keep my eyes open. I could hear Kai talking in the background, his voice muffled by the stream. Eventually, I drifted off into a deep sleep.
When I woke up again, I was startled by the feeling of the bed dipping beside me. Kai had crawled in beside me, his warmth enveloping me as he settled into place.
"You okay?" he asked softly, his voice soothing.
I nodded, not fully awake yet. "Yeah, just tired..."
"Get some more sleep, ma. I'll be right here," he whispered.
I fell asleep again almost immediately, grateful to have him by my side.
