Kai's POV

I woke up with a headache that seemed to be pounding on my skull. With a groan, I sat up in my bed, noticing it was cold. As I looked around, I noticed there were no signs of Tori anywhere. I didn't remember much of the night before, so I figured I'd call her.
After trying three times and not getting anything, I figured she was either asleep or I'd fucked up. Since I heard the voices of the guys coming from upstairs, I swung my legs off the bed, going to get myself together. I freshened up and made my way to the living room where everybody was lounging around.
"If it isn't the angry midget himself." Agent spoke, half-jokingly.
"What you mean?" I questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"You don't remember snapping on Tori and Tylil last night?" Chris asked with a shocked expression.
"Nah, I was fucked up." I answered truthfully.
My expression of shock only grew more as they recounted their point of view of things.
"Damn," I muttered, rubbing my temples. It was no wonder Tori wasn't answering her phone. "Let me try calling her again." I spoke, sitting down and pulling my phone out to dial Tori's number again.
Upon hearing her voicemail, I sighed. "Yo, Tori.... I need to talk to you. Hit me back when you can." I left a message, before letting my phone fall into my lap.
"See, I be telling you that you can't handle your liquor." Duke chimed in.
"Not now Duke, this serious." I muttered, picking my phone back up to check Tori's location.
I felt relief wash over me to see she hadn't cut it off, and it was showing she was at Dani's house. Without another word, I got up and went to grab my keys. I wanted to make things right as soon as possible, not wanting it to simmer any longer than it already had.
After stopping to get some flowers and some food, I found myself knocking on Dani's front door. I could hear muffled voices coming from inside before Dani opened the door with a mug on her face.
I cleared my throat before speaking, "Wassup D. I can talk to Tori, real quick?"
"I don't recall giving you permission to just show up at my house whenever you felt like it." Dani retorted.
Before I could say anything, Tori's voice rang out from inside. "It's alright Dani."
Dani rolled her eyes and stepped aside, allowing me into the home. I smiled at the sight of Tori sitting at the kitchen island.
"Wassup ma." I leaned in for a kiss, wish she swerved. It was wishful thinking on my part.
She only responded with a scoff as she folded her arms and glared at me.
I put down the flowers and the food with a sigh before sitting down next to her. I held her hands, making eye contact as I spoke. "Listen, I am so sorry about last night. I drunk too much and I started tripping. I know that doesn't excuse it but let me make it up to you."
"How so? You got a time machine or something." She spoke, making my heart sink a little.
"I wish I did, but I'll do whatever you want and for as long as it take. I'm serious Toriana, you know I'm better than what I showed you last night."
She sighed before speaking. "I know, and that's why I'm so disappointed. I didn't even know Tylil was on thin ice with you, then you went and surrounded yourself with females."
"I know, but on God I didn't do cheat or nothing. They told me a shorty touched my arm and I spazzed on her so that's when they sent me to my room."
Her lips curled into a small smile, "I knew that already. Dani called Xoie this morning for all the details."
I chuckled at the girls antics, "Word to my mother I'm never gone put you in a situation like that again. I love you too much to be making the same stupid mistakes twice."
Her lips curled into a small smile, and immediately the air in the room felt less heavy. "I know, I love you too. I guess I can start trying to forgive you."
The sound of an exaggerated gag pulled us out of our bubble as we turned towards Dani, who I had forgotten was even nearby.
"We get it. Y'all in love and not mad at each other no more."
Both Tori and I laughed as we rose from our seats, me grabbing the flowers and food I had brought to take with us.
"Thanks for letting me crash here Dani. I don't know what I'd do without you bestie boo." Tori spoke, going to give Dani a hug.
"Mhm. Just be careful and call me if you need anything." Dani responded, shooting me a look as Tori and I headed out the front door.
"Appreciate you Dani." I called out but got no response. I guess she had a right to be upset, but as long as Tori forgave me, I could care less about how Dani felt.
Once back home, Tori and I made ourselves comfortable in my room. I sat in front of her as she enjoyed the food I had gotten for her.
"You know, Thanksgiving's coming up," I spoke, breaking the silence between us. "It's basically our first time celebrating Holidays together." That was being technical, in reality it was our first time with us having money and being in a good space in life.
"You sound like you got something up your sleeves." She responded, a smile forming on her face.
"Watch and see. I'm doing it big for the rest of the year, and don't worry I got Thanksgiving covered since I know you can't cook."
She playfully pushed me with a laugh, "Shut up, as if you any better."
As the conversation moved on, the smile on her face never faded, and that was enough to make me happy. It was my intentions to do everything I could to keep her smile on her face and getting her excited and curious about what I was planning for the Holidays was just the beginning.
Even if we got off track, there was nothing that could keep us off. And that's all that mattered
