Tori's POV

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*

I was currently out getting a pedicure with Amber, telling her about the Kai situation. I would normally go to Dani about things like this, but she was out of town, and I needed to talk to somebody about it. I had been avoiding Kai for the past 4 days and I was running out of excuses.

"So let me get this straight...y'all fuck like porn stars in his Lambo, ride with him after the fact to get both food and a plan B, and then you basically vanish on the man." She repeated the details to me.

"I didn't vanish." I corrected, "I just won't go over there or answer his calls..." I mumbled to myself.

"Well obviously y'all need to talk, I mean unless you did want Tylil-" She started, "For the millionth time I don't want him!" I said to her making her put her hands up.

"Okay, okay. I'm just saying I think he finer than Kai-" She started again, "Amber." I interrupted giving her a look.

"Okay, sorry. So, you want Kai?" She questioned.

"Yea-No, I mean-" I stumbled over my words before groaning, "I don't know what I want Amber." I answered.

"Well clearly at some point in time y'all developed feelings for each other. It really wasn't a secret, everybody could see it, that's why I like my niggas friendless, but that's not the point. The point is he probably just as confused as you." Amber spoke.

She wasn't wrong about the feelings thing. I couldn't speak for him, but there had definitely been moments of our friendship where my feelings for him grew beyond friendship, but I always buried them. Just based off of what I had seen, Kai definitely didn't seem interested in settling down, and I had no intentions of being friends with benefits or joining his long list of admirers. But the only alternative from that was waving our friendship goodbye, and I wasn't willing to do that either.

I groaned in frustration, unable to organize my thoughts. I felt like I hadn't been able to think straight since everything happened.

"Okay back to pretending, nothing happened." I said wanting to change the subject. I looked down seeing the lady was almost done with my toes, before hearing my phone vibrate. Amber and I both looked at it, seeing Kai's name on the screen. I quickly grabbed the phone, shooting him a text to say I was out, and would call him later before putting the phone down.

I couldn't ignore him for much longer, so I needed to figure something out. Once we left from the nail salon, we parted ways since I had a hair appointment. Getting pretty was my favorite form of therapy, as it temporarily served as a distraction from what was going on in my life.

As soon as I pulled into my driveway, I had another incoming call from Kai except this time it was a Facetime call. I sighed as I answered, angling the phone towards my face as I got out the car.

"Toriiiii" He whined as soon as the call connected.

"Kaiiii" I mocked him, unable to hide the small smile that had formed on my face. I had missed talking to him.

"I see you got your hair done; you look nice." He complimented while propping his phone up.

"Preciate it." I responded making him smack his teeth.
