The soft breeze and the sun peeking through the curtains woke Y/n. She blinked a few times, letting out a small whine as she untangled herself from the blanket. Her hand instinctively searched for Vox, but didn't feel his presence. Her eyes shot open as she looked around the room—he wasn't there, but his clothes were neatly placed nearby. He must not be far...
She swung her legs out of bed, stretching and rubbing her eyes, when the scent of pancakes drifted through the air. Following it, she made her way to the kitchen and found Vox cooking, dressed only in his boxers. A soft smile tugged at her lips as she quietly approached him from behind.
''If you're trying to scare me, it won't work, darling,'' he said with a slight smirk.
He flipped the pancakes onto a plate, then turned to hand it to her. She let out a small sigh.
''I wasn't trying to scare you...'' she murmured.
He chuckled and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek.
''Sure you weren't. Eat before it gets cold,'' he teased, giving her a playful little slap on her ass. She rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile.
He stared at her, captivated. She looked so effortlessly cute in the morning light. Vox couldn't help but think how he wished he could see her like this every single day.
She walked to the table and sat down, beginning to eat. Vox slid in beside her.
''I'm sorry I came so late yesterday... I didn't have all my head,'' she said softly, nudging him and placing her hand over his.
''It's okay. You can come anytime, Vox. I don't mind if it's you,'' she reassured him. He felt his cheeks warm slightly, but he brushed it off, looking out the window.
''Yeah, but—''
''No 'but,''' she interrupted, placing her hand on his cheek and pressing her lips to his. Vox melted instantly, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her closer.
''Gosh, I—'' He closed his mouth before the words could slip out, though his heart betrayed him.
'I love you... No, no, no... I don't. I don't... right?'
''You?'' she prompted softly.
''Nothing,'' he murmured, quickly hiding his thoughts.
''You know, you're so handsome, Vox, like that,'' she said with a playful smile.
He lifted an eyebrow and smirked. ''You think so?''
She nodded, and he leaned in, capturing her lips in a passionate kiss. When they parted, he whispered, ''Well... you're gorgeous.''
"I know", she smirked back making him roll his eyes.
"Sure you do. You're so cocky," he said, pinching her cheek, making her whine.
"I know you like that," she teased, her words muffled as she chewed. He let go of her cheek and leaned in to kiss her neck.
"I know," he murmured, sucking gently on her skin, eliciting a soft, beautiful sound from her. When he finally pulled away, a faint mark was left behind. "You're mine."
She leaned closer, their lips just an inch apart. "Yes, yours," she whispered, planting a quick kiss on his cheek before heading to do the dishes.
Vox watched her with a soft smile, letting out a sigh. This morning, when he woke up, he couldn't remember anything from yesterday—not even arriving here. It wasn't until he started vomiting in the bathroom that fragments of the night came back to him. He didn't know if he should tell Y/n about it. After all, nothing too serious had happened.
