JACK POV:
May 1st had come and gone and before we knew it, the week was over. Ike and the others had started paying attention to the teacher. But I feel like the lessons were still going over their heads. Sudo however... Was still sleeping during class. I guess despite my outburst, he still wouldn't change his habits without complete proof our points could go up. Simple logic does not affect him.
Ayanokoji's head had started to bob, I noticed Horikita taking out a compass used for math, despite the fact this was English class. She then leaned forward to Ayanokoji's desk and tried to stab him...
Unfortunately for her, I grabbed her arm. I squeezed her wrist a little until she decided to stop trying to stab him.
Horikita (whispering): I need to keep him awake!
Jack (whispering): There are better ways to do that!
I simply leaned forward and lightly pressed on a pressure point. This caused his sleepy body to become alert again, without causing any pain. He turned around and looked at me.
Jack (whispering): You gotta stay awake man. I believe in you!
He nodded and went back to paying attention.
In between classes, Hirata stood up and began speaking.
Hirata: Guys listen up. Chabashira-sensei said that we will get expelled should we fail the midterms. So, I think we should focus hard on our studies. Starting today, at 5 PM I'll be holding a study group for 2 hours every day. I asked some of the top-scoring students to help make a study plan. Everyone is welcome.
He stared at Sudo as he said that.
Sudo: Tch.
Sudo just looked away.
Hirata: That's all I have to say.
After he finished speaking, many failing students and borderline students ran up to him to join the study group. Ike, Yamauchi, and Sudo didn't join his study group. Sudo because he doesn't wanna study. And Ike and Yamauchi because they're jealous of Hirata's popularity. Or perhaps they were afraid of Sudo losing his temper. Who knows.

It was lunchtime now and I got my phone out to play chess like always. But before I could start a game someone called out to me.
Horikita: Are you two free for lunch? Do you wanna eat together?
Did Horikita of all people just ask Ayanokoji and me if we wanted to eat with her?
Ayanokoji: I feel uneasy about this. It's rare to get an invite from you.
Jack: Yeah. I don't eat lunch anyway.
Horikita: Well, you should. It's not healthy to skip lunch like that. I could treat you both to the vegetable meal set. If you'd like.
Free food?! Hell yeah!
Horikita: I'm kidding. Anything you want is on me.
What???!!! ANYTHING?! Man, am I glad I skipped breakfast today!
Jack: Free food? I'm in.
Horikita: Great. What about you Ayanokoji-kun?
Ayanokoji: I don't know... This seems fishy.
Horikita: If no one accepts pure and honest kindness, then mankind will meet its end, won't it?
That's a pretty shit argument but free food is free food.
