JACK POV:

(A/N: I'm looking for someone to do some art for the story. If anyone is a good artist or knows one, and you want to help me out with art for this story, please let me know. I'm poor so I won't be paying anyone, but I will give you credit for every piece of art, and in the description of the story, and I'll drop your links to any social media you have in my account bio. If you wanna work with me, drop your discord and I'll get in contact)

It's been 3 days since the end of the island exam. I still haven't talked to Ayanokoji. All I've been doing is either watching the ocean or juggling my soccer ball. The qualifiers for nationals start in a couple of weeks so I'm getting as much extra practice in as possible.

Due to the way our school phones work, even without a signal, we can still communicate with people from the school who aren't on the cruise, so I've been getting updates from Gojo. Apparently, Nagumo has been practicing with the team since summer vacation started.

If I'm honest, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm downgraded to a secondary striker role, or even benched. For whatever reason, Gojo refuses to go against Nagumo's wishes. And Nagumo will more than likely want all the glory to himself.

Nagumo is a very talented player don't get me wrong, so if I'm not out there he will definitely get all the glory and praise. However, I think he has another reason for wanting to push me down as much as possible. Private points.

The private point rewards for doing well in club activities are pretty substantial. I've heard that by using private points, he was able to gain complete control over the 2nd year. And the soccer club is just a means to that end.

He's good at soccer, so he plays it to increase his private points.

Someone like that would never beat me on the pitch. But outside of it? Yeah, I don't stand a chance. So I need to be prepared, because I may only have 1 chance in this tournament, if I mess it up, Nagumo and his lackeys will have no problem keeping me from playing.

I don't do well with locker-room politics. All I wanna do is play the game. But recently it's been different, I've been focused on crushing and humiliating Nagumo instead of just playing the game.

I sighed as I watched the beautiful blue sea. Most students were treading lightly, in case the school pulled some shit again, but I was just taking every second I could to relax. But by now, most of the students are now fully enjoying their summer vacation. I've learned my lesson, I'm never letting my guard down again when it comes to this school.

"Ah, I finally found you, I missed you on the island."

I heard a voice call out to me. I turned around and saw a guy with shoulder-length magenta hair, along with Ibuki and a black guy.

Jack: Can I help you?

He walked over and sized me up.

Ryuen: Names Ryuen Kakeru, I'm quite a fan of yours Jack White.

Jack: Huh?

Ryuen: You're a real-life Saul Goodman aren't ya? Don't think that victory meant anything, I was merely playing around. I'll be sure to crush you next time.

Jack: I'm sorry who are you?

I tilted my head in confusion. I wasn't actually confused, I knew well and good who this was. The leader of Class C, the tyrant.

Ibuki stifled a laugh and had a smirk on her face as she watched our interaction.

Ryuen: Kukuku.

What the hell kinda laugh is that?
