JACK POV:

Next up, was the tug of war event. The girls were all doing the ball toss event, which I had never seen before. I guess it's just not something done in the States.

From the distance I was at, I couldn't tell exactly how the ball toss game was going. I could tell it was a close match, however. When the game ended, the referee in charge counted up all the points while removing the balls.

Teacher: With a total of 54 points, Red Team wins!

Hell yeah! That's two wins in the team games. We're killing it! My internal celebration was short-lived, as the referee for the tug-of-war event called us boys over. We all made our way over, ready to start the tug-of-war event.

A battle of pure strength, no tricks this time. Just pure strength.

Katsuragi: Alright, everyone in position!

Despite not wanting to work with us, we did still do some game planning with Class A. Our strategy was simple, line up in order of height, so that there was no unevenness.

Me being the tallest saw me at the front. However, as we from Class D all got in position, around half of the Class A boys didn't move.

Hashimoto: Hey, quit trying to order us around, Katsuragi.

The blonde-haired guy named Hashimoto whom I met when I ran into Sakayanagi spoke out against Katsuragi.

Katsuragi: What do you mean, Hashimoto-kun?

Hashimoto stepped forward.

Hashimoto: Exactly what I said. You're the reason Class A is in a slump, you think we'll trust you-

I cut him off.

Jack: Can you continue your dick-measuring contest later and just get in position?

Everyone stood silent and I saw Sakayanagi off to the side with a thin smile on her face. She had orchestrated this whole thing. However, she seemed amused by my comment.

Katsuragi: Whilst I don't approve of his vulgarity, Jack-kun is right. Now is not the time for petty bickering.

Hashimoto: Fine, fine...

The Class A boys all finally got into position and we waited for the first round to start. You had to win two rounds to be declared the winner, the same as capturing the flag.

Both teams were in position and the whistle sounded...

"Pull! Pull! Pull!"

We all shouted out in unison. Pretty corny but we're the ones winning so who cares?

It was a wash, the other team were all disorganized and fighting with each other before the round started. Ryuen doesn't exactly harbor a good team environment. We easily took the first round, and the second. Easily sweeping them.

That was three team victories so far. We've won the Red Team 1500 points from those team games alone. We're dominating the White Team. This is looking like it's gonna be a blowout.

We all returned to our tent and Kiyotaka and I stood off to the side.

Jack: So, have you enjoyed the events so far?

Kiyotaka: Huh? Uh, I guess... I liked the team ones more though.

Jack: Told you.

He looked at me confused.

Kiyotaka: Huh?

Jack: I told you working with people and being a part of a team is fun.

He looked off into space.
