(A/N: Yo so I'm gonna be making a pretty minor but semi-important change to this story. Those who have been here from the start will remember I said Jack was 2800 on chess.com, due to some comments and me using my own common sense, I decided that was way too high. So if you go back to chapter 1, you'll see it says he is 1600 as opposed to 2800. 1600 is far more realistic for someone who just enjoys chess and plays it a lot and isn't a genius. He and Arisaka are still friends on chess.com and their rating has also been lowered to around Jack's rating. For those who already know who Arisaka is, which let's be honest most of you probably do, trust me, I will make it make sense. If any of you notice or have noticed any instances of me mentioning Jack's rating being 2800, please tell me so I can fix it.)
(A/N: This a long one.)
JACK POV:
It was now the next morning and I hadn't looked for witnesses at all. I was supposed to ask around the soccer club and see who may have seen something but given Horikita already has a potential witness, I didn't.
Plus that's an excuse not to interact with people.
Ayanokoji, Ike, Yamauchi, and Kushida spent a lot of time after school going around and asking people. So did a few other groups. Hirata was a part of one and had to leave practice the second it ended so he could join his group.
Currently, I am listening to music while staring into space. Horikita was reading next to me, and Ayanokoji, Kushida, Ike, and Yamauchi were all talking about Sudo's case.
They also failed to find a witness.
I saw Chabashira come in and I put my headphones away.
Chabashira: Cheer up Ike, there actually is one way to instantly reach Class A.
I felt a look of confusion cross my face.
Horikita: Ike was complaining about wanting to be in Class A immediately.
I turned and saw Horikita staring at me.
Jack: Oh thanks.
She nodded and returned her attention to Chabashira.
Ike: Wait a minute! What'd you say?
Chabashira strode up to the podium and spoke.
Chabashira: I said there's a way to reach Class A without class points.
If we can buy test points then you can probably also buy the right to transfer into any class. If only one test point costs 100,000 then a class transfer must be insane.
Ike began laughing.
Ike: Don't tease us Sae-chan-sensei! You can't fool us that easily!
Nah I think she's telling the truth.
Chabashira: It's true. There are certain special methods in this school that you can use.
Yeah, she's dead serious.
"I don't think she's saying that just to confuse us."
After that person spoke Ike began to become more and more serious as he spoke up again.
Ike: Sensei, what kind of special methods?
He asked this in an uncharacteristically polite tone as if trying not to offend her.
Chabashira: I told you on your first day did I not? I said there's nothing you can't buy with points at this school. In other words, you can buy the right to transfer into any class you want using your private points.
