The next day the soccer club returned to the school after winning the national qualification tournament. They were all in their rooms currently resting. The finals took a lot out of them all, especially the celebration and the high of excitement they all felt.
All their energy was zapped and they were all left exhausted by the time they returned to ANHS late at night.
This meant they were all asleep when the school posted the story of their triumph on the school forum.
CHABASHIRA POV:
I was doing some laundry while trying to relax, there are only a few days left of summer vacation before it's back to teaching. I received a notification and checked my phone to find a text from Chie.
Chie (annoying best friend): Sae-chan! The soccer club won their qualification tournament! Our students did so well! Especially Jack-kun!
Wait seriously? They beat Kirisaki Daiechi? How? They got destroyed last year. What the hell happened? Chie sent the article posted by the school and I clicked on it.

I had a small smile appear as I saw the picture of Jack and Hirata celebrating with the other club members. I felt a feeling of pride for my students as I read the article.
After cruising through the tournament up to the finals, the soccer club found themselves down 2-0 at the half. But after a halftime change, where Class 1-D student Jack White was subbed in for Student Council Vice President, Nagumo Miyabi from Class 2-A, they began to rally.
With a pass from his classmate and clubmate, Hirata Yousuke, Jack White scored a beautiful goal within just a minute of being subbed on.
They then showed a picture of Jack shouting as he was in the air.
After missing a couple of chances, the soccer club was given a corner kick that was cleared by the opposition, however, the ball dropped down to Jack White. Jack White, in a brilliant display of skill, dribbled through everyone and scored a wonder goal. Which saw him rainbow flick it over the last player, after having passed every other player. Then as he looked to connect with the volley, Kirisaki Daiechi's captain and star player, Moriyama Daisuke, came in to block the shot, and in an incredible display of technical skill, Jack White faked the volley and tapped the ball into the air and then volleyed it into the net.
Wow, I knew Jack was good at soccer but I didn't know he was this good. Besting Moriyama Daisuke is nothing to scoff at.
(A/N: Moriyama is very well-known throughout the nation. Especially the fact he's going to England to play in the Premier League in a few months)
