Mayank made a plan and according to it she walked to her room with on call with Mayank.

Whereas Mayank walked to devdutt's room. After few knocks Devdutt opened door and let Mayank inside.

"Itani raat mein kyu aaya hai, kya hua" Devdutt asked. "Kuch nhi yaar bas bore ho raha tha toh soch ki kyun na baatein karu tere saath" Mayank said making himself comfortable on bed.

Devdutt also sit on bed, "Prarthana ne kuch bataya, aaj kuch udas jaisi lag rahi thi woh" he asked as he remembered how her face had dullness.

"Haan may be she didn't had talk with her mom" Mayank said nonchalantly.

"May be ka matlab kya hai, usne kuch kaha ki nhi woh bolo" Dev chided at him.

"Usne toh kuch nhi kaha, but Bhai tu kyun gussa ho raha hai?" Mayank said as he sit straight infront of him.

"I am just worried for her" Devdutt said looking anywhere but Mayank.

"Mein bhi tera hi dost hun, mere liye toh kabhi itnaa worried nhi hua tu?" Mayank said with smirk.

"Agar tu bhi sensitive hota toh tere liye bhi worried hota" Devdutt dead-panned.

"What do you mean, mein insensitive hun" Mayank said with wide eyes. Devdutt just rolled his eyes at Mayank's dramatic self.

"Actually she likes someone, so she is just worried whether he likes her back or not" Mayank said keenly looking at Devdutt's expression which were changing.

"What she likes someone, but she never mentioned it infront of me. Who is he?" Devdutt chided as he stood up.

"Woh Bhai aram se kyun uchal raha jaise woh teri girlfriend hai" Mayank said with smirk.

"What!? I am just asking" dev said sitting back.

"Just asking ya just getting JeAloUs" Mayank smirk was getting wider as his words ringed in Devdutt's ear.

As he closed his face with his hand rubbing his face. Suddenly Rahul's face come infront of him and he opened his eyes.

"Kya bakwas kar raha hai Mayank, why would I get jealous?" Devdutt said being angry.

"Bakwas ya sach ugal raha hun?" Mayank asked.

"Yaisa kuch bhi nhi hai"

"So you don't like Prarthana?" Mayank asked.

Prarthana who was still on line, her heart thudded in its rib cage. She crossed her fingers as she was literally jumping at the thought of Devdutt being jealous.

Devdutt glupped as he looked other side shaking his head in denial "No"

Prarthana's face become pale as her crossed finger loosened.

"It's impossible Mayank, I can't even think something like that. We are good friends that's it. There will be no more than this" Devdutt said.

"I feel disappointed at the thought of-

Prarthana quickly cut the call as she didn't had the courage to hear more. As Mayank's phone pinged he looked at it and saw call just hanged up.

"Dev what are you disappointed at, you really don't like her, I have seen it in your eyes, it's not just friendship" Mayank asked as he thought that may be Devdutt is confused about his feelings.

"Mayank you know it we can never have something like this, I feel disappointing cause Rahul bhaiya trust me with her safety and if I do something like this I will loose his trust and I can never do that you know what he is to me" Devdutt said.

"Than what about your feelings?"

"I don't feel anything, may be it's just attraction. I will be ok in just few days if I stayed away from her" Devdutt said with emotionless voice.

"Than what about Prarthana, she likes you dammit" Mayank grumbled in frustration.

"What!?" Devdutt asked, Mayank stood up and walked to the door he gave blank expression before leaving.

He strode to Prarthana's room and started to knock on it.

"Prarthana open the door, door open Karo yaar" he whisper yelled as he didn't wanted Rahul or Athiya to come out from their room which is right beside.

Prarthana was crying, her cheeks and nose was red due to her cries. She quickly stood and entered inside bathroom to wash her face.

She opened the door, while towel still hanging on her arm.

"Sorry, I was in bathroom. Kya hua? Iss wakt kyun aaye tum?" She said trying to sound normal.

For second Mayank thought that she is normal until he observed the redness on her nose and cheeks.

"I know Prarthana you heard everything" Mayank stated Prarthana looked down than looked up.

"It's ok I guess" she lowly mumbled as her eyes started get moist she again looked down.

Mayank looked at her concerned, even he felt too bad for her situation.

He wanted to tell her everything but he already made mistake by planning this stupid plan. Now he just want them to do something for themselves so he just kissed her forehead and wished goodnight before walking away.

Prarthana who was controlling herself by biting her lower lip closed the door and her knees finally gave up.

"Why me god? Why it's always me who lose her loved once"

"He was my first love" she sobbed as she hide her face in her plam hand.
