21. The book store

Everyone was on dinning table, suddenly door bell started to ring. "Must be Vaani, I will see" Prarthana said standing up.

Walking to main door, she opened as expected there stood Vaani with her cheeky smile. Prarthana let her in.

"What beautiful people's doing? Ayyi Anna, attige niv yavag bandidira, heg edira?" she said as she hugged mumma. "Morning dodamma"

(Brother sister-in-law when did you guys come)
(Morning aunt)

"Yesterday night, we are fine l, what about you and family" Rahul asked her. "Everyone doing great" she said and sat beside mumma, and drank water. That's when she saw Devdutt and choked on her drink.

"Devdutt Padikkal... Omg am I dreaming" she clapped her both hands on her cheeks.

Everyone smiled at her dramatic nature. Prarthana sat on her chair, which is beside Devdutt. Prarthana looked at Devdutt than again at Vaani.

"Heyy I am Vaani, cousin sister of Rahul Anna" she forwarded her hand than saw him eating "oh it's ok, I already know who you are" she said taking her hand back.

"Now just eat quietly" mumma said her to which she nodded.

"Umm Prarthana akka actually Nirvan will join us, as he had holiday today" Vaani said being all smiley.

"Prarthana take Devdutt with you, he will be bored if he stays as I and Rahul will be busy in preparation" Athiya said.

"Can you join us?" Prarthana asked lowly looking at him "it's ok I -" "I insist" she cut him middle.

"Ok I will come give me some minutes to get ready" Devdutt said with smile.

"We still have time you can get ready later first complete your breakfast" Prarthana said.

They were conversing in softly in low voice, to don't disturb others but all were already looking at them.

When Prarthana looked up, she saw everyone looking at them with teasing smile. Without saying anything she looked down while continuing with her food.

"Ohh ooh what's happening here" Vaani said keenly looking at Prarthana and Devdutt.

"I will tell you, now eat" Rajeshwari said as her sister had called and informed that Vaani didn't had anything for breakfast.

Devdutt walked to his room to get ready.

Prarthana walked out with Vaani, as soon as they walked out Vaani asked her what was happening in dinning table.

Long story in short she told her how they were friends and how they get separated than their confession lastly engagement.

"What about Kishore than?" Vaani asked in shock "he already has fiance" Prarthana said.

Devdutt walked out in his casuals, cap and shades.

'hayyyi this man is so handsome, and he is mine' Prarthana thought while looking at him.

"So Mr.Padikkal you can drive right?" Vaani asked to which he nodded, "than please drive?" She said taking car keys from Prarthana and handing it to him.

She come by cab so now they are going by Prarthana's car.

Devdutt sat on driver seat, Prarthana walked to passenger seat beside driver seat. Vaani sat in back seat.

Soon he started the car and left from there.

Vaani become busy in texting someone, at front both Devdutt and Prarthana were in comfortable silence.

Google map was on so they easily reached the book fair store.

As they reached there, the store seemed to empty. Prarthana looked at Vaani to which she shrugged her shoulder.

After few minutes Nirvan reached there in his car. After parking it in parking lot he walked into store.

In the mean time Prarthana asked one of the employee why the store is empty, that employee said Nirvan is owners friend so Nirvan wanted it to empty.

Prarthana looked at Vaani, to which she shrugged come close to Prarthana "Devdutt Padikkal is accompanied us, so I asked him to make it empty" she said with her star and sparking eyes looking at Devdutt. She was fangirling Devdutt with any hesitation.

Nirvan stood there with hands in his pocket, intensely staring at Devdutt who was scrolling through his phone.

Prarthana sensed the tension, "umm Devdutt" she called him and he come quickly near her. "Devdutt he is Nirvan Vaani's fiance, Nirvan this is Devdutt my-" "Prarthana's fiance" before Prarthana could continue Vaani said with cheeky smile.

"You know him right, he had played for RCB in beginning" she said Prarthana laughed at her behaviour. Whereas nirvan gave a curt nod.

"Let's go than" Prarthana said turning to other side. As she started to walk, Devdutt followed her behind.

"So love reading books" he asked her "I am obsessed with reading" she said turning towards him to which he gave his signature smile.

As she was walking looking at the book shelves, she lift her hand in air infront of Devdutt. He looked at her than at her hand she signaled him to hold it. He smiled before holding her hand.

Holding hands felt so surreal for them. Prarthana's heart was beating like drums, and her stomach was full of butterflies. She felt good, comfort, protected and connected by his hold.

When she was looking at a book's still holding his hands he took out his phone and captured her.

He looked at her hand in his hand, her hand felt so soft and small in his hold. Content smile never left his face.
