I woke up. The sun was shining.
There were no big clouds.
You could really look up the mountain forever.
I looked at the rock wall.
4 ropes hung there.
I stood up immediately.
How could they be so close along again?
I started running the route.
I ran on green grass.
It started to get a little steeper again.
I just ran across the meadow.
My legs felt like they were flying.
Maybe fly too much.
I didn't see the end of the mountain. It just went down steeper and steeper.
But it was meadow and a few stones.
I had to start walking because if I ran I would eventually fall.
I watched my steps.
I wasn't here when I went up, but as long as I can get out of the bottom and apparate, everything's okay.
The sun disappeared and the shadow from the mountain came.
I could see trees at the end. That means I was close to the goal.
It looked closer than it really was.
I didn't even get to the edge of the forest when suddenly there was a ravine in front of me.
I looked down. There was a river below.
Either I would jump over it or I would take the tree that was further back.
It could be used like a bridge.
I found it too far to jump.
I started walking towards the tree.
It was a long way.
The sun was gone and it was getting dark.
But it wasn't evening yet.
The sun just disappeared behind the mountain.
I came to the tree.
He looked slippery.
I put my foot on it and tested whether it moved.
The tree slid a few meters to the left until a branch stopped it from sliding any further.
I stood with both feet on the tree and began to carefully walk over it.
I stretched my arms out for balance.
Suddenly the branch slipped.
I wrapped my arms around the tree.
My feet were hanging in the air.
I started trying to get up again.
I tried to gain strength to push myself back up.
Suddenly I heard footsteps.
No not they again.
A man climbed the tree.
"Who hangs here?" It was one of the Five Men.
I looked at him.
"Did you fell into this?"
My arms slipped.
I was a little deeper but was just able to hold on to a branch.
The tree began to move and the man standing above me suddenly fell down.
I felt him swing his arms around my waist.
I could barely hold me how should I hold us both.
The man started screaming.
His grip on my waist was tight.
"Let go, I can't hold both of us"
" never"
My hands slipped lower.
The other men came up to the tree and held out their hands.
Suddenly the branch broke and we both fell.
I screamed. The man screamed.
We fell into the water.
The man only held my hip with one arm.
With his other hands he swam to the surface of the water.
The current was already pulling us along.
We emerged from the water.
I took a deep breath.
The tree was already many meters away from us.
The man's grip on my waist tightened.
He tried to swim against the current.
I swam along.
"There's a waterfall over there"
" No, not again"
Fear came into my eyes. I began to panik
"You're scared"
I looked at him.
We both tried our best to swim.
"I can't take it anymore" I said.
"Keep swimming, I'll get us out of here"
The other men were running after us.
A rope was thrown into the water.
"He'll torture me again anyway, then I can just die now. It doesn't make any difference anyway."
The man looked at me.
"Are you at risk of suicide?"
"What?"
"How often do you think you could kill yourself?"
" Too often"
"Just swim, at least try." He had hope in his voice.
"You still have hope for me, everything died long ago.
Every single time I was forced to torture and murder.
With every single assignment and with every punishment" I said out of breath.
"My life sucks and I think too often about just ending it.
Only 4 people know that.
It still doesn't make it any better.
I wouldn't wish my life on anyone else, not even Umbridge."
I stopped swimming.
"Let me go, you'll still make it to land without me"
"then you die"
"I've survived it before and what difference does it make?"
His grip loosened.
"either I die now or later at some point everyone dies and my time was already three years ago.
The first attempt to kill me should have worked and my father shouldn't have revived me then everything would be better.
Let me go and save yourself.
I can deal with the injuries if I survive."
He really let go of me.
I didn't even swim anymore.
"George, what are you doing? Hold her, we need her"
He makes it to the rope.
I slid into the water and closed my eyes.
I heard the waterfall coming and went under.
Then I fell.
My hair flew into my face.
It all felt unreal.
My heart stopped.
Did I have a heart attack?
No.
I fell and didn't even scream.
I saw the men standing at the top, all five of them.
They watched me fall.
I closed my eyes.
I was ready to die as I had dreamed about it so many times.
It always ended in the same way that I woke up again and again.
Did that mean I would really die from falling?
Now or some other time. I would die anyway.
"Mattheo, Draco, Theodor, I love you too, say hello to Peeves and my father. I love them too" I whispered.
My body hit the water.
I sank to the ground.
My whole body hurt from the impact.
The current dragged me further down the mountain.
Everything felt unreal.
I couldn't breathe anymore.
After a short while I became unconscious.
