Capital 129 Dumbeldors Speech

We decided to go for breakfast today.
We got to the Great Hall and it was packed.
Dumbeldor was there too.
"Dear students, I have to remind you of something.
Something terrible happened at this school last night.
A boy raped a girl.
This behavior is not tolerated at this school.
If it comes out that something like this has happened, the person will be immediately suspended from school or, in very serious cases ,like this, immediately kicked out.
The first case happened last night and we had to take immediate action because he had apparently touched her several times without permission.
So we are clear, something like this will be punished immediately and will not be tolerated."
All the students in the room started whispering.
I looked at my plate.
I didn't know how many people knew that that meant me and Jeremy.
"And I have to add. Anyone who has knockout drops at this school has to hand them in immediately and that will also be punished.
Do you all understand me?"
Many students nodded.
I looked at my plate.
A few Slytherins looked at me.
Mattheo's arm was protectively around my shoulder.
"Hey soon the looks will go away again"
You could see by Mattheo's hand that he fought.
We have already received many looks from other houses.
Mattheo's hands were bandaged.
That should draw attention.
" Professor Dumbeldor may we ask who the boy is?" Ask a boy from Gryffindor
"No, I won't tell you that. Now go to class"
All students stood up.
That was just the main topic that everyone was talking about.
We arrived at Care for Magical creautures and it was already rumored that it must be Jeremy.
"Jeremy from Slytherin raped someone, he walked past us with his luggage earlier"
"And who do you think was raped by him?" Said a girl.
"I don't know, but Jeremy definitely got beat up" said the boy
The eyes immediately went to us.
"It's so weird to be stared at" I said
I turned my back to them.
A Huffelpuff boy came from behind.
"Hey Mattheo, what happened?" It was someone who always chilled with us.
"I just beat someone up" said Mattheo.
"So it was her?" He looked at me.
I walked so that Mattheo blocked my view of me.
"It's none of your business"
Draco pulled me into a hug.
"I thought you were getting used to stupid looks"
"Yes, but not looks that are felt with pity"
Draco and Theodore began to laugh quietly.
"Oh everything will be fine"
Mattheo turned to us.
“What do they actually care about?” said Mattheo
He put his arm around my waist.
The lessons went by quickly and we sat in the large hall.
"Y/n was raped by Jeremy"
Harry, Ron and Hermione must have heard that too. They turned and looked in our direction.
I quickly hid behind Mattheo.
A lot of looks kept coming our way.
"Are we going to the lake afterwards?" I asked
" Yes why not"
We were among the first to stand up.
I took Mattheo's hand and he locked it in his.
We walked out of the hall.
Suddenly Jeremy stood in front of us with his luggage.
He looked at me.
I took Mattheo's arm with my other hand.
There were a few other students behind us.
Jeremy looked up and down my body.
He licked over his lips.
"Want another pair of injuries?" Mattheo asked.
" No"
He went further out into the meadow.
His elders had to pick him up.
Jeremy was accompanied by Professor Flithwick.
We also went outside but down to the lake.
"I have the books with me so you can look for the spells"
We sat down by the tree.
I got out the books and we started reading.
“I have it” said Theodor after about 4 hours.
"Read aloud" Draco said.
"If a disappearing cabinet has been demolished or fallen over, the path from one to the other is probably destroyed. This path must be repaired with the spell Harmonia Nectere Passus. This repair can take up to 5 months or longer. You have to use the spell every 5 days repair and of course find the broken spot at the beginning. Once you have repaired this spot, it takes another 2 months until the path is correct again, which means you have to plan a lot of time to find the broken spot! and then look for the error.
The whole thing is a very difficult task and can only be done by the best magicians."
Draco was taking notes the whole time.
"Okay Perfect"
Then let's get to work.
All four of us walked up to the Room of Requirement.
Draco opened the door.
"Who wants to go in first?"
"I can" said Mattheo.
"Okay, but each of us has to go in"
We arrived at the closet and Mattheo opened the door.
"Be careful okay" I said
" Promised"
He went into the closet and closed the door.
Draco said a spell and we closed the door.
We sat down on the sofa.
After 5 minutes, noises came from the closet.
I opened the door.
Mattheo came out.
"Okay guys, this is going to be more complicated than expected."
" What is?"
"The path is broken to the other. That means we have to redo the whole path"
"Is it like a map?" Draco asked
"Yes, approximately."
Mattheo took some paper and wrote something down.
It was like a map.
"Did you try the spell right away?" Draco asked
" Yes"
"Y/n, Theodore, can you get us a map from Hogwarts to London?" Draco asked
" Clear"
I stood up and pulled Theodor up by his arm.
We walked to the library and went inside.
It was full inside.
I saw Hermione, Harry and Ron sitting on a sofa.
I went to Madam Pince.
"Hello Madam Pince. We have a question.
Are there any maps here that go from Hogwarts to England?"
"What do you mean exactly?"
"A map that Hogwarts has drawn and London in the way the train runs"
"Yes, we have something like that, but what do you two need it for?"
"We have to write an essay and we thought how nice it would be if we included the number of kilometers from here to home"
"Okay then, come with me"
We followed Madam Pince in the back from the library.
She went to a closet and opened it.
There were a hundred maps stacked up.
" Have fun, you two"
She disappeared.
I took out all the cards with both hands.
I began to unfold the maps
Theodore did the same.
In between I looked at the clock and it was getting later and later.
"You have Quidditch practice tomorrow, right?"
" Yes "
"Since I have one"
Every place was marked. But it was also huge.
"Okay then lets go"
We put the maps back in the cupboard and came forward.
The library was already empty as it was close to bedtime.
Harry, Hermione and Ron were watching us.
"We would borrow this map please" said Theodor.
"Why do you need every precise place, even the smallest one?"
"For research" I said
She looked at us with raised eyebrows.
"Okay then have fun researching."
We both ran out of the library and up to the Room of Requirement.
We walked in.
"Where have you been for so long?" Mattheo asked
"Do you know how long it took to find a good map?"
I laid out the map.
"Okay, we'll do it like this now. We'll make an exact map of it and put the number of kilometers between each village.
There is a long stretch of damage that we have to repair and in between some things have disappeared" said Draco
"That means we now have to look for the kilometer numbers between all the places and then just follow the map?"
"Yeah, about that"
Draco placed a large piece of white paper on the table.
"Here we would first have to copy the map. Who can draw well?"
All eyes went to me.
"Do you know how long this will take?" I said
" How long?"
"At least three days"
"Then you draw and we find out the kilometer number and everything else and the broken places"
I got out a black pen and some ink.
"I'll draw the villages first and then we'll make a lift line or what?"
"Yes"
I started drawing everything from the map on the Great Way Map.
It took forever.
"We should call it, it's already late," said Mattheo.
They already had a few kilometers of numbers out.
That was somehow beyond calculation.
I wasn't that good at it.
We folded the map and I put it in my bag.
Then we sneaked out together.
We were walking along the path when suddenly a cat stood in front of us.
She started meowing.
"Filch's cat" I said.
We heard footsteps.
Suddenly Peeves was behind us.
"I distract him"
He flew into the air towards Filch.
The cat immediately ran after Peeves.
We came to the comment room.
A party was going on.
Mattheo got us 5 drinks.
We sat down on the couches.
Whenever a boy walked past us all three of them watched him until he passed.
I sat in the middle of the boys.
Pansy was already on the floor.
She was lying on a boy's lap.
"I can't take it anymore, this day was just too bad" she said to herself.
The boy didn't really look happy.
He whispered something to his friends.
"Forget it, She's his"
Mattheo, Draco and Theodor had heard that too.
Mattheo's arm was around my neck.
"I'll get us drinks again"
Theodore stood up.
Pansy immediately stood up and sat next to Draco.
Pansy was flirting with Draco.
After a few minutes Theodor came back.
He looked at Pansy.
She moved away from his seat and he sat back down there.
He passed the drinks.
"Didn't you bring me one Theo?"asked pansy
"No go get your own"
I took a sip. It was fire wiskhey.
Draco picked up my bag from the floor and opened it.
He was looking for something.
After a short while he found it too.
It was a piece of paper.
He wrote something there.
Then he passed it to Mattheo.
I looked in.
Something was written on the paper
"Shall we continue tonight?"
Mattheo took the pen and wrote on it.
"Yes, we can, but then we can do it without Theodor. He needs his sleep and doesn't necessarily have to be dragged in somewhere."
I took it and Draco looked inside.
Then he gave a thumbs up.
Mattheo and I stood up.
" Where are you going?"
"Up" I said
It didn't sound like a lie at all.
We crept to the door.
I took a bottle of Fire Wiskhey with me.
After a short while Draco came.
"He stays with the others"
We slipped out the door and ran up to the Room of Requirement.
"I can't handle just leaving work when something is at stake" said Draco
I spread the map out on the table and picked up my pen again.
" Me neither"
Mattheo kissed my forehead.
The two boys took out their papers with all sorts of researches.
I just started painting more.
I wrote out villages.
I made symbols for the forests and wrote them down in a table in the margin
The direct route from London to Hogwarts was the first thing I drew.
It became light.
We had been drinking Fire Wiskhey all night to keep us awake.
Luckily today or tomorrow is Saturday.
I didn't know exactly what time it was.
I had to go to Dumbeldor at 11am this morning.
A quarter of the map was finished.
Mattheo and Draco had already calculated 15 routes.
It was always between two and four kilometers.
"We should stop for now" said Mattheo
All three of us ran to the comment room and up to our room.
It was 4 a.m.
We lay down in our bed.
I immediately fell asleep in Mattheo's arms.
