-Cant Sell Papes?-"Ughh!! Ey! Dolly! Teach me ya ways!" Elmer whined as you walked past him as you had already sold all of your papers. He still had a full stack.
"Man, Elmer. How do ya still have a whole stack of Papes-?" You snickered at him, laughing as he pouted, then started to yell headlines that were obviously bs. You two had been friends forever. He was like your brother... But you had to admit. You had a huge crush on him.
The both of you come from cruppt homes. You can guess what happened. So you ran away and joined the newsies at the ripe age of 10. Elmer just so happened to as well. You two became friends fairly quickly and you two were always selling rivals.
"If ya must know. It's because I'm so adorable." You laughed, standing next to him while he sold. You provided him with confidence and support as he sold through the rest of his stack, the sun was setting when he finally finished.
You stood up from the curb and stretched, "Took ya long enough." You yawned as he put all of his coins into his pocket after counting them quickly. "Whateva'."
"But seriously, thanks fa stickin' 'round" He spoke sincerely, smiling slightly. You smiled. He was adorable when he smiled. You just wanted to cuddle with him and kiss him and- ok let's not get ahead of ourselves.
You sighed and brought him to the park to watch the sunset with you. You placed your hand on his. "Elmer."
"Dolly."
"I likes ya. Like, loves ya." You decided to be bold with it and just go for it. Worst he could say is no.
He just nodded. "I like ya too." He leaned over and kissed you. You felt fireworks as he kiss you. His sweet lips you've dreamed so much about touched yours. He leaned his head to the side to deepen it.
You had quite the day.
