Katara

Walking down the hallway Naoro held my wrist gently but firmly, pulling me towards the door at the end. The air that flowed in these walls smelled the same as that night. The floor underneath me made the same squeaks as before. Only this time daybreak could be felt illuminating the halls.

Spirits, to think I haven't been back since then...
"Naoro please. I really don't want to". Katara begged one of Zuko's most loyal servants as he continued to pull her to the Fire Lord's study.
No more than 10mins ago I learned a piece of Zuko's family history and now Zuko wants to see me. It's a trap!

"Ms. Katara. I'm sure you're thinking it to be worse than it actually is. I doubt the Fire Lord would take such drastic measures." Naoro defended the closer we got.

"But I still don't want-"

"Katara."
Looking up Katara and Naoro both seem stunned, his hand still held onto Katara's wrist. The two of their eyes appear as if caught in a clever trap.

"Fire Lord!" Naoro screeched abruptly stepping back, his hand automatically letting go of Katara's wrist. Without hesitation Naoro's left arm came across his chest, bowing from where he now stood.

"You may leave us" Zuko declared. With his attention now focused on Katara, Zuko joined his pointer and middle finger together, flicking his wrist against the air. His body language informed Naoro that it was time he left.
With his back standing straight Naoro walked backward carefully looking at the Fire Lord for any change in his reaction. At the intersection of the hallway, Naoro felt the sunlight touch his cheeks. Turning to the side he scattered down the hall almost leaving a trail of smoke behind him.

"Katara. Please come in." Zuko spoke softly tilting against the door frame. Looking up at Zuko, Katara noticed the clean-cut ornate robe he wore. Zuko's dark hair was tied high with his hair ornament, the shape of the Fire Nation insignia.
Katara felt reluctant to look up as she passed the tall figure, her body quivering swallowing back saliva she had accumulated in the back of her throat.

Stepping inside Katara felt a sudden flood of mixed emotions. Nearly three weeks ago she had awoken from her horrible punishment only to realize shortly after her mother's necklace was taken once again. Of course, she knew exactly who took it.
Her eyes scanned Zuko's desk, once again laying her eyes on the closed box that held her mother's necklace before. With no way to verify right now, she turned towards Zuko. Her color blue eyes looked down to the floor.

"Katara I wanted to talk to you about something, find out if you are willing to do something with me..." Zuko began as he walked inside his study.

"w-what is it?" She asked nervously as he moved closer to her, shortening the distance between them. Zuko looked into her concerned eyes as his lips spread into a sweet smile.

"I have a meeting in Zui Nanduan located in the lower part of the Earth Kingdom. I must attend in person to finalize some joint decrees." Zuko uttered as he leaned against his desk. Crossing his arms he watched Katara's fingers intertwined with each other, as her ocean eyes continued looking down.
Zuko scanned Katara's body taking note of her simple long red tunic dress that had the freedom of movement. Her hair was fixed into a large upper bun. The necklace he made her wear still sat across her beautiful angular neck.

"I see" Katara trailed off. Her mind raced on how she would take back her mother's necklace.

"I was thinking" Zuko interjected with the same smile pressed against his lips only this time with a little anxiety hidden in his eyes. "If you wanted to come, since it's so close I mean ...maybe you can visit the south water-tribe".
