"throw ..you?" Questioning surprised. Nearly stumbling on his words his eyebrows parted. His jaw clenched at the sight of Katara standing only a few feet away from the ship's edge.

"Yes. You don't want me! Right? You proudly revealed you only take from me. That I'm nothing to you! Then throw me! Show me I am nothing to you!"

Zuko's breath quickened as his chest ascended and fell rapidly. The temples on the side of his forehead made themselves known pushing against his fair skin.
"You forget I could have my guards burn you where you stand" He bluffed, trying desperately to assert his dominance.

"Aren't you a Fire bender?!" Katara challenged back. Holding up her hand she pressed it against her chest not once breaking eye contact.
"Even with the ocean and moon spirit surrounding me, I am still defenseless! Only a coward would have other people do their dirty work. If you want to do it, DO IT!"

"Katara.. don't push me..." I warned shaking my head side to side as I drew in long breaths practically tasting the salty sea.

"I am nothing to you?! RIGHT?! Throw me overboard yourself! Show me!" She howls once more. Her eyes warped into a miserable black, great bitterness which swept across her cheeks. It seemed as if she had turned into a different person.

Shifting my eyes around I quickly learned only the two of us stood out on that deck. My men had deserted themselves from the outside, and rightfully so. Had I made one of them do something I surely will regret in the coming days, I would hold them and their family responsibilities.
Since I hadn't bothered to grab shoes before leaving my chambers, my bare feet had no choice but to walk across the cold metal deck. Inching closer to Katara in the dead of the night. The closer I came the more clear I saw her swollen under eyes that still held remnants of water from my painful words earlier. They had shadows of strength beneath them showing me how deep the emotional wounds ran in her veins.

Standing next to her I reached out without hesitation grabbing onto her forearms causing her upper body to stiffen. The contact my fingers had made could feel the suddenly raised goosebumps on her skin.
Swinging her body around the two of us finally stood parallel to the lip of the deck, our eyes stared at one another. Waiting to see the other move first. The ocean water below had reflected the dark sky, causing the ship to seem as if it disappeared into a black background. The coldness of the Arctic stored itself in the sea radiating the frostiness onto us.
"Last chance to walk out of here like a lady" I warned.

"How could I be a lady to you?" Katara snapped back, her eyes showing no hint of fear for however this moment would end.

Frustratedly my lips twitched along with my wrist. Squeezing her arms in my grip I could just about hear a whimper out of her. My strength lifted her to the tippy toes of her shoe which were the only thing in contact with the metal ground, but still, she didn't back down.
