17: A Night to Remember

Today is finally the day. The anticipation has been building, and I can hardly believe it. Thanks to Jake, I have the incredible opportunity to see Enhypen live for the first time. It's fascinating how life can take such unexpected turns—was it mere coincidence, or perhaps something more like fate? It feels like fate, a whimsical twist of destiny.

Regardless, I am thrilled to see Jake, Heeseung, and Ni-ki again, and of course, to meet the other members too. But only Jake knows I am coming.

After some time, I start getting ready for the concert, wanting to arrive as early as possible.

Now, here I stand in front of the stage, in the front row, and it's almost showtime. I am so excited. Jake had asked for a picture of my outfit earlier, so he could easily spot me in the crowd. That was really sweet of him.

The crowd erupts into cheers as Enhypen appears on stage. I see Jake scanning the front rows until our eyes meet, and a huge grin spreads across his face. He quickly looks away, presumably to avoid drawing attention to our little interaction.

I savor every moment of the concert, singing along and jumping with boundless energy. I love it! Every now and then, I catch Jake glancing in my direction, trying to be as discreet as possible. It's an indescribable feeling.

During a short break between songs, the members take a moment to talk to the audience. It's then that Heeseung notices me. He pauses, seemingly in disbelief, before moving closer to get a better look. His approach causes the fans around me to scream even louder. Heeseung smiles and waves at them, but he gives me a knowing wink before moving on, his grin hinting at the surprise and recognition.

Ni-ki, who had been watching Heeseung, also spots me. He gives a quick wave, acknowledging my presence before turning back to the other fans.

My heart is pounding with exhilaration. These are the moments that make life feel surreal. Seeing the genuine joy and surprise on their faces fills me with a happiness that words can't capture.

The concert continues, each song and interaction making the night more magical. Jake's gaze finds me during every song, our eyes locking for a split second, sending shivers down my spine. His subtle nods and winks give me the reassurance that I am not just another face in the crowd. He makes me feel seen and special, even among the thousands of screaming fans.

As the band performs one of their slower, more emotional songs, I see Jake glance at me with a soft expression. The lyrics seem to carry more weight, and I can't help but feel a deep connection to the music and the moment. Heeseung catches on and gives me a smile, mouthing the words to the song as if serenading me personally. It's as if for a brief moment, the world narrows down to just us.

Then, during a high-energy number, Heeseung gets playful. He moves to the edge of the stage near where I'm standing and reaches out to the fans, his hand brushing against mine for a brief, electrifying moment. The fans around me scream louder, pushing forward to get closer. Heeseung's eyes twinkle with mischief as he pulls back, his smile widening.

As the concert nears its end, the band gathers at the front of the stage to thank their fans. Jake takes the microphone and starts speaking, his eyes searching the crowd until they land on me. He smiles warmly, "We have a special night tonight. It's amazing to see so many of you here. We appreciate each and every one of you."

Heeseung steps forward next, "This concert has been incredible because of you guys. Your energy, your love, it makes all of this worth it." He glances at me, his smile softening, "We even have some special surprises, right?"

As the last notes of the  last song fade, confetti rains down on the audience, and the members of Enhypen take their final bows. Jake and Heeseung both look in my direction, giving me one last wave before disappearing backstage. The concert is over, but the memories and emotions linger, filling me with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and joy.
