"Honestly, I had a feeling something was up," Ni-ki said with a grin, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "You two seemed really close, and it makes sense now."
Jay nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Yeah, I noticed the way you two interact. It's different from how Chloe is with the rest of us. But I didn't expect you to be a couple!"
Heeseung and I exchanged a glance, and he began to explain, "We just wanted to be open with you all. Things developed naturally between us, and we felt it was the right time to share it."
Sunoo chimed in with a curious smile, "So, how did it all start? Were there any specific moments that made you realize you felt this way about each other?"
I blushed slightly, feeling the warmth of Heeseung's hand still holding mine. "It was more of a gradual realization for us," I explained. "We spent a lot of time together, and our feelings just grew stronger over time."
As the questions continued, the atmosphere became a blend of excitement and genuine interest, making it clear that our relationship was a topic of fascination and delight for the group.
After a while, Jungwon returned alone. I looked up at him with concern and asked, "Where is Jake?"
Jungwon's expression was calm but serious. "He went back to the hotel. Don't worry; we had a conversation. He just needs some time to himself."
I nodded, trying to process his words. The weight of the evening's events was still settling over me, and I felt a mix of relief and apprehension. "Thank you for talking to him. I hope he's okay."
Jungwon gave me a reassuring smile. "He will be. Jake just needs a little space to sort things out. In the meantime, let's focus on the positives. The rest of the members are really excited and supportive about your relationship."
I appreciated Jungwon's understanding and support. With the conversation shifting back to the group, I took a deep breath and turned my attention to the others, ready to face whatever came next with a newfound sense of resolve.
As we made our way back, Heeseung turned to me with a suggestive smile. "How about we sleep in my room tonight?"
He leaned in closer, his breath warm against my ear as he whispered softly, "I can even lend you one of my shirts to sleep in, if you're going to wear anything at all."
His words caught me off guard. I looked at him with wide eyes, scanning the group to see if anyone had overheard. Seeing that they were absorbed in their own conversations, I lightly smacked him on the arm.
Heeseung let out a dramatic, exaggerated wince and rubbed his arm with a pout. "My girlfriend just hit me!" he declared to the others with a playful tone.
The rest of the group laughed, and I couldn't help but smile at Heeseung's antics. Despite the playful complaint, his eyes twinkled with affection and I felt a warm flutter of excitement at the thought of spending the night with him.
As we walked down the hallway to our rooms, Sunghoon, whose room was next to Heeseung's, turned to us with a mischievous grin.
"Please try to keep it down," he said, his voice laced with humor. "Some people actually want to sleep." With a playful and an exaggerated wink, he headed into his own room, leaving us both chuckling at his teasing remark.
As the other members disappeared into their rooms, Heeseung took my hand gently. With a warm smile, he opened the door and guided me inside. The soft light from a lamp illuminated the cozy space, casting a welcoming glow.
Once the door was closed behind us, Heeseung turned to me with a playful glint in his eyes. "I guess it's just us now," he said softly, his tone filled with affection. He squeezed my hand gently before letting go, his touch lingering for a moment.
The room was intimate and inviting, filled with the quiet comfort of our shared space. As we settled in, there was a sense of anticipation and closeness, knowing we had this private time to enjoy each other's company.
