I'm losing my breath running around chasing my nephew around the dining room table for the hundredth time while my sister holds my niece. Listening to his is little giggles makes every leg cramp worth it. It's Thursday night so it was time for our weekly dinner.

Tonight is Kat's turn to cook which I for one am super excited for. She makes the best honey chipotle chicken bites. Just the smell of the food wafting into the living room is making my mouth water.

My Dad is outside doing his usual run throws of our cars. Even though all three of us live out on our own. He says it is his job to take care of us until we get marry and even then, he is still going to lend a helping hand. We really got lucky in the dad department. He has always given his all to his kids. Helping us through rough times and cheering us on in the easy ones.

I always find it funny when he says things like that. All three of us Hensley girls are single. Christy just got out of a rough relationship and has sworn off men for the next ten years. Kat says she doesn't have time for boys. She is focused on finishing school while working her full-time job.

I had a boyfriend about three years ago. He was really nice, light brown hair and blue eyes. We dated for little over a year. We just wanted different things out of life. I just got out of my two-year program getting my business degree and he was in his third year of college. He wanted to move to Charlotte, NC. I wanted to stay here in our small town in Kentucky. He wanted to get a cat, I wanted to get married. I'm also allergic to cats. The breakup was mutual so no hard feels.

Once we get everyone settled into their seats and plates made, we all dig in. My nephew Mason can't get the chicken in his mouth fast enough. Christy had to physically take his plate away so he wouldn't choke. That's a five -year-old for you. My Dad and me bust out laughing at the look his gives his mom. She just ignores him and continues to feed his little sister Amelia.

"This is really good Kat thank you for making it." I said to my little sister smiling. She just smirked back. Kat is the only one who took time to perfect this dish. The rest of us didn't want to learn because it's a long process. Dad and Christy hum in agreement. In this household you know the food is good when it's quiet.

After we all finish Christy cleans the dishes really quick while everyone heads to the living room to hang out. I was helping Mason in his coloring book. He was trying his best to stay inside the lines, but that's okay because pawpaw will still be hanging it on his fridge. My dad cleared his throat gaining my attention.

"Kacey, I set you up an appointment to get your oil changed at Reeds. I know I normally do it but I'm going out of town this weekend to visit Jack and his wife, and its overdue."

I couldn't help but perk up a little at him mentioning Reeds. It's been a while since I've been there and I'm not going to lie. The tall dark-haired grump has been on my mind more than I would like to admit.

"Thanks, Pops I really appreciate it when is it?"

"Tomorrow at 2:30."

I'd have to text Kayla and see if we can meet at a different time tomorrow but I'm sure we can work that out. She is so sweet and understanding I'm sure she won't mind. I picked up my phone to shoot her a text.

After working things out with Kayla to meet later in the evening. Me and my Christy pick up all the toys from the grand babies' playroom. After we all moved out and she had her babies, we decided to turn one of our old rooms into a playroom and keep all their toys in there. My Dad still had two empty rooms, so he made one a guest room and the other into an office.
