Kacey has been my girlfriend for one month. Well really it's only been two weeks officially, but I'm counting the first two. I've never been so happy; she has truly been more than perfect. We spend at least three evening together throughout the week. But it has always been at her place, which I prefer. It just feels like a home, where my house is worse than a bachelor pad. When she asked if we could hang here today I was a little hesitant, it isn't that I don't want her to see my place. It's I literally don't have anywhere for her to sit. I never have anyone over and it's just me; even with this being a three-bedroom house.
I hear a car door shut and know it's my girl, I just hope she is up for a challenge. Opening the front door before she even steps on the porch. I speak loudly "Sweets, get in here I need your help." She picks up in speed with a worried look, making me chuckle quietly.
"What's wrong? Did you break something?"
She walks in and looks around trying to see if there is glass in the floor. Realizing there isn't anything broken she looks at me confused. "Where is all your stuff? Is that the problem, did someone break in?" Rolling with laughter now, pull her into the middle of the living room.
"No goofy, no one broke in. But my lack of stuff is the problem I was talking about." She points her finger in my face with a look of pure rage, well her version of rage. She looks like a kitten who wants milk.
"Don't scare me like that I thought something seriously was wrong. Where is your furniture?"
She isn't judging me but doesn't understand why there is only a recliner in here along with my flat screen mounted on the wall. "Well I don't have any, no one ever comes here so I never thought to get more then what I needed." I say rubbing the back of my neck trying to fight off the feeling of embarrassment.
She starts walking around, looking into each room. I assume to see if I truely had an empty house. Our last stop is the master bathroom; I lean on the door frame watching her. Her features are still calm, not giving away what she is thinking. She cocks one hip out resting her hand on it and give me an amused smile.
"Okay, what do you want me to do?" I don't even fight the smile spreading across my face, she is so sweet it almost makes my teeth hurt."We are going shopping, I have space that needs filling and I want you to help." Her eyes shine bright like a kid on Christmas morning. Taking that as I yes I grab her hand and pull her to follow behind me.
I open the car door for her as she speaks "so what are we looking for, do you have any ideas?" She throws her over the shoulder bag on then loops her arm through my waiting elbow. Another reason I've pushed this off is I have no clue what would look good and how to arrange it. But being in Kacey's place I'm sure she will know what to do.
"Sweetness I have no clue what I'm doing. So you are taking lead okay? The main things I want to get today is a couch and kitchen table." I know she is going to want me to pick what we get, but that isn't my plan."Okay Baby, what color couch do you want?'" I freaking knew she was going to do that.
"No, I want you to pick. I really don't care. I just want it to be big enough for me to hold you." I pull her into me, and give her an aggressive hug with a little shake. I don't want her to try and fight me on this. I don't let her go until I hear her giggle with a "okay".
We walk around all the full living suits, testing them to see which was the perfect fit. But Kacey didn't like any of them enough to pull the trigger. So we moved on to the sectionals, she lets go of my hand and darts to a dark chocolate colored one in the back corner. One side had an ottoman with built in storage underneath, and the other had a recliner. It was a little lager then the others but if I got rid on my chair I could fit it with room to spare. She drops down with a content sigh closing her eyes. "Sit down. I just want a blanket and a book, and to curl in a ball at the corner of this thing." I do as I'm told and sit beside her. I don't think we are going to find any thing better honestly. I release a moan and say "oh yes this is the one. I knew you had good taste."
