We are down to just four months until the wedding. Kayla has her appointment with the tailor for her gown this week. I need to let Alex know that I booked his appointment for him and his best man's suit fitting. I recently learned that Trent is his best man. My body tingled with heat at the mental image of him in a suit.

I was more the surprised at his apology, and request to start over. I really would like us to get a long, because I hope to stay in touch with Kayla. Hearing my phone chime, I blindly reach for it not wanted to look away for my computer. Breaking my laser focus and I look finding a text from Kayla. My thought must have summoned her.

Kayla: "Hey girl! We are going bowling Friday night. I was wondering if you would join us?"

I took a quick glance at my calendar to make sure I didn't have any meets that evening.

Me: "Hey! Yes, I'm free that evening! Who all is coming? What time?"

Kayla: "Yay! I'm so excited. We booked a lane for 6 pm. It will just be Alex, me, you, and Trent. I can't wait see you there!"

Just the four of us. Is this a friend thing or like a double date? I wouldn't be mad if it was just a friend thing. Although the butterflies in my stomach tells me I wouldn't mind if it was a double date either.

Even in Trent's moodiness there has always been something about him. He works hard and you can tell he puts his family first. Which is quality I really liked. Family is everything to me. The fact he was good looking was just a bonus. When he smiled at me, he proved my suspicions of him having a dimple. My heart still swoons when I think of it.

The next two days went by fairly quick. Thursday's family dinner really helped with that. My anxiety was through the roof. I'm not very good at bowling but I was determined to have a good time regardless.

Exiting my car when I find a parking spot pretty far from the entrance, I regret not bring a thicker jacket. I make my way through the doors of the bowling alley I wiped the nervous sweat from my hands on my jeans. I haven't been here in years, but the building still looks the same.

I paid for my shoes then turned to find my group. All the lanes were full, with the dim lights and load music. I was starting to feel more anxious being by myself. I was getting my phone out of my purse to text Kayla, when a deep voice whispered in my ear "we're over here Sweetness."

I couldn't stop the squeal the left my mouth as I jumped and turned to see who was this close to me. Trent straightened and covered his mouth trying to conceal his laughter.

"What is wrong with you? You don't just whisper into someone's ear like that!" I cover my heart with my hands trying to make it beat at a normal pace.

"I'm sorry, I seen you standing here. I was going to take you to the lane." He is still smiling but his laughter has died down.

"It's okay just be careful next time I could have hit you." My statement causes him to bust out laughing again. "Sure, you would have Sweetness." He grabs my hand and leads the way to Kayla and Alex. My small hand fits perfectly in his large calloused one. If he is going to continue to call me that nickname all night; I'm going to need a cold compress because, I can feel my bodies temperature rising.

"I found her." Trent says as he lets go on my hand and takes a seat.

"Sorry I didn't see you from the shoe counter." Kayla waved me off, going back to entering our names into the computer. I take the empty seat beside Trent to put my rental shoes on.

I feel him press his shoulder into mine whispering in my ear again. "Would you like something to drink?" I turned to look at him "oh no, you don't have to get me anything." He cocked his eyebrow at me and smirked. "I know I don't have to; I want to. So please tell me what you would like?"
