Me and Kacey have been texting since Saturday morning, which isn't something I like to do but I just want to talk to her.I wasn't planning on asking her out but after spending some time with her I realized her sweet personality and infectious laugh were things I found myself wanting to be around. It's like my body moved on its own when I'm around her.
The first time I grabbed her hand at the bowling alley was so she wouldn't get lost. After that my hands were itching to touch her again, her skin was so soft against my rough hands. I've never been a touchy feeling kind of guy but having her soft curves pressed up against my hard chest, made me want her as close as possible.
I called her the next morning like I said I would; to let her know I was going to pick her up on Wednesday to see a movie and go out to eat.
I thought it would be a good first date something without too much pressure. Mom and dad said I could leave early to get ready. Which I was grateful for. Scrubbing the greasy from my hands and face was going to take an extra-long shower.
When mom found out we were going out she was over the moon. She said she knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Then proceed to tell me to be the gentleman she raised me to be, or she was going tan my hide. I know she meant every word.
I pulled up to Kacey's apartment a few minutes early. I haven't been on a date in a while, but I think I clean up nice. I had on my best jeans, black and white flannel, and my cleanest pair of boots. I took the steps two at a time anxious to see her again. Now standing in front the apartment door with the gold numbers matching the ones in Kacey's text. I take a deep breath as I knocked on her door. It wasn't five seconds and the door swung open, reveling Kacey with her mesmerizing smile.
"Hey! Sorry I just need to put on my shoes. Come on in I'll just be a minute."
I stepped inside and watched her walk down the hall to what I assume is her room. Looking around at all her photos, some of her and her family. There are other photos of flowers and scenery. The whole space screams Kacey, light and cheerful.
Kacey returned to the living room; bare feet now covered. My eyes trail up taking her in. She looks amazing; she had her hair down with the sides twisted back. Giving me a full view of her face. Jeans that fit her perfectly and her top was a simple navy tank up with a knitted cover up that's pattern looked like flowers. When my eyes finally land on her face, she is smiling. Her hazel eyes dancing up and down me too.
I closed the distance between us and snake my arms around her. Her floral and vanilla scent hitting my nose making me want to tuck my head into the side of her neck.
"Wow you look beautiful." Her cheeks turned a shade of pink making my pride swell, being the one to put color there.
"Thank you. You look pretty great yourself. Are you ready to go?" Her voice soft. Nodding my head, I put a little pressure on her lower back guiding her in front of me to the door.
After locking it she laced her hand with mine. My whole body hummed with excitement. Opening the passenger door, she slides in squeezing my arm and whispering a thank you. I stepped closer to the cab leaning in just a little. "The movie starts at six so we will get there in time to get snacks, okay?"
"Okay can I get a slushy?" She asked with big puppy dog eyes. That look is dangerous.
"You can get whatever you want Sweetness." I kissed her cheek and closed the door.
After I settled in my seat, I started the engine and pulled out of her parking lot. The radio softly played in the background. I reached over the console and intertwining my fingers with hers. I don't think I'll be able to stop touching her now that I have started. I feel her running her free hands fingers up and down my forearm sending tingles all over my body. "Why do you call me that?"
