3 / The Wind Hashira

SANEMI POV

As I am just minding my own business, Giyuu brushes my shoulder and looses his balance, so without thinking i hold him to stop him from falling. Then he turns his head and realises it's me. Fuck. I didn't want to catch him, but was I just going to let him fall? Why do I care.
"Are you stupid or something?" I say from my anger because i'm embarrassed. He just stands up and bows to me like a fucking idiot. "You think you're better than me, so you don't have to talk, huh?" I blurt out . He deserves it, he is always ignoring everybody and only smiles at Kanroji. The guy thinks he's a king or something.

"sorry..." He says to me finally. But his voice sounds like a fucking frog. Now that I think about it, he should have stayed quiet. He bows again and makes a run for it. "You better get out you good for nothing!" I shout, but he doesn't even react again. What a moron...

It's none of my business anyway...

GIYUU POV
Shinazugawa treated me badly as usual... And I thought maybe, maybe we could have been friends this time. He probably thinks I ignore him most of the time and don't speak to him purposely ... But what if he knew the truth? Should I tell him i'm deaf and I didn't really know how to speak well? Maybe his attitude would change if I made him Ohagi and tried to get closer with him... Tanjiro said it was his favourite food, and he has a keen nose, saying he always smelled Ohagi from Shinazugawa. But would the wind pillar even start to like me if I made him Ohagi? or would he think i'm an idiot and toss it away... But according to Genya, he is only angry to cover up some of his emotions. What if I could reach him!

After finishing my walk, Tanjiro came to visit my again. He was keeping my company on most days and always went out of his way to come and see me... sometimes he even brings Nezuko and Muichiro. He came along by himself today though, so I wasn't really embarrassed to tell him of my idea. He didn't judge my voice at all, he probably thought i was unwell all the time. His face lit up instantly.
"Giyuu-sannnnn!!! I'll help you make the Ohagi!!" He smiled at me.

And so, the next day, we got to work. He helped me get ingredients from a town nearby and brought Nezuko with him. We followed a recipe as best as we could, and I was good at reading so I understood the steps no problem. And a hour later, It was ready. Fresh Ohagi. Now it's time! The 3 of us set off, I carried the Ohagi wrapped in a green Furoshiki cloth which reminded me of Shinazugawa, since he's the Wind Hashira.

"Look, there's Shinazugawa-san!" Tanjiro pointed to as I read his lips. Nezuko ran upto him first.

"Hey... So, it's the Kamado Demon huh.. What do you want?" Shinazugawa said from a distance, which i was just close enough to see. "Oi, Kamado! What are you doing with Tomioka, huh?" Shinazugawa angrily but calmly asked.
"Shinazugawa-san! Giyuu made some Ohagi for you! Why don't you try it!" Tanjiro expressed. Shinazugawa had a blank angry expression. I looked back at Tanjiro. "It may not look the fanciest but it's really yummy!"

"You do like Ohagi, Don't you Shinazugawa-san?" Tanjiro questioned. I was too scared to face Shinazugawa directly so I just stared at Tanjiro. Nezuko was pulling my Haori sleeve. I clenched the Ohagi tighter.

Then, with one blink of my eye, Shinazugawa pushed me with both hands, The ohagi flew out of my grip and I banged my head on the cold stone path. I sat up in pain to see him mouth "GET AWAY FROM ME YOU FREAKING ARROGANT BRAT! I DON'T WANT YOUR STUPID FOOD." And he disappeared...
