Walking towards the L.O.V. bar feels different this time. Maybe it's the way the air has changed or maybe I'm just dress warmer this time around, but the nerves are gone. Well, most of the nerves. Is it weird to be showing up like this unannounced? It's not like I'm bringing anything I'm just showing up to what? Hang out? He's working he should be worried about me. Maybe if I'm lucky Hawks will be there so I can at least not seem like such a weirdo.

I push open the heavy door and bask in the warmth of the L.O.V. It's practically empty and since it's a Wednesday afternoon I'm not entirely surprised. The bartender is the same guy who covered for Dabi the first night I met them. Shiggy, I think they called him.

"Excuse me," I ask, and he looks up from a small handheld device, "um, ha, is Dabi working tonight?"

The man takes me in for a moment, glancing me up and down before shaking his head, "no he has the night off. I can call and see if he's in though."

"Oh! No that is okay. I don't want to bother him," I say quickly.

"What's your name I'll tell him you stopped by."

"Really, it's okay. Thank you though," I turn to leave but stop ad he says something else.

"Okay, I'll just tell him some girl showed up then."

I shake my head and exit the bar quickly I knew coming was a bad idea. Before I can make it out the alley a new voice stops me.

"Fukuda?"

My blood runs cold. I turn slowly and smile sweetly at Dabi who is heading straight for me, trash bag in hand.

"Hi," I say.

"Hi?" He asks.

"Well, bye," I chime after a pause and turn to walk away but his laugh stops me.

"What are you doing here Fukuda?"

"Well, I'm already embarrassed might as well put the icing on the cake. I stopped by to hang out while you work. I guess," I wrap my arms around myself and avoid all eye contact.

"That's really sweet. Do you wanna?"

"Wanna?"

"Come hang out? Hawks is already here."

"Here?" I ask and Dabi nods.

"My apartment, I live above the bar."

"No shit?" I ask and shrug, "I mean I guess as long as I'm not intruding."

I follow Dabi up a flight of metal stairs that leads to a door above the bar. He pushes the door open and moves his hand to the small of my back guiding me into the building. It's a small apartment surprisingly cleaner than I thought it would be. A small sofa and television sit in the living room with a kotatsu table in the middle. Hawks is under the table laying on his stomach scrolling on his phone. Something about it feels so domestic. The kitchen is tidy spare for a small table stacked with books and unopened mail.

"Look who I found lurking about," Dabi says, and I turn to him with a pout.

"Fukuda!" Hawks cheers, "look I got Dabi to pull out his kotatsu table. Come warm up," he sits up and moves over to make room for me under the heated blanket and I quickly oblige. I scoot under the blanket tucking my arms under to get warm. I hum happily as the kotatsu removes the chill from my bones.

"Oh my gosh. I'm going to need to get mine out of storage," I sigh blissfully.

Dabi walks over two beers in hand, and places them down in front of my and Hawks. Hawks takes his and cracks it open, immediately taking a large gulp.
