Chapter 56: Shuffle Unit Project (Abyssal Hunters)

A few weeks have gone by since the meeting with Kurogiri Rensuke as the brothers are now in their respective rooms since it's their free time. Ren is having fun talking to Mika, Ito is trying his best to take care of Leon while Koga and Tatsumi are away and Shiro is helping Tsukasa and Shinobu with homework.

Just then Ito's phone vibrated. He took it out to see a message from an unknown person. It said: Hello there I'm a Producer from P-Association, Anzu. I'm texting to tell you that you have been selected to be part of a shuffle unit. The meeting will take place tomorrow. Ito was shocked.

He has heard about Anzu from his leader as she was the one who managed his shuffle unit back then. W-Wait a minute...N-Now it's my turn to be part of a shuffle unit...?! A-A shuffle unit means...no King and no Ren-kun...H-How am I going to survive...?! Ito thought as he starts to worry.

"Woof?" "Ah...I-I'm sorry Leon...I was just surprised...since I got selected to be part of a shuffle unit..." Ito said as he looked to see Leon looking at him with a little concern face. "L-Luckily it's tomorrow though....I wouldn't want leave you by yourself..." He added. "Woof!" Leon said. "Ah...Y-Yep...I better sleep early tonight....I don't want to be late...after all..." Ito said. "Woof!"

After that the day went by as tomorrow came. Meaning it's time for the shuffle unit meeting. Since Ito didn't want to be the last to arrive or he'll feel guilty he decided to head out early. Once he reached he opened the door. He sighed in relief as he wasn't the last. There was two people excluding who have already arrived.

"Oya? If it isn't Takasaki." "E-Eh? Ah H-Himeru-san...G-Good morning..." Ito said. "Hai. Good morning. If you are here then it must mean you have been called by Anzu because of the shuffle unit right?" Himeru asked. "H-Hai! U-Um...H-Himeru-san you got called in too?" Ito asked. "Yes he did." Himeru said.

"Hoho? Could he be your acquaintance Himeru-san?" A man with long spiky brown hair that stops just above his shoulders with bangs parted to the right. He also has a ponytail. "Himeru doesn't know him as much as the Hanagaki brothers but he would like to say yes." Himeru said.

Upon seeing someone he doesn't recognize Ito looked here and there to find a spot to hide. "Ahaha! Looks like I scared you I apologize. I am from MaM, Mikejima Madara! You can call me Mama!" Madara said. "E-Eh?! U-Um...T-Takasaki...Ito..." Ito said. "Takasaki-san it is then!" Madara said.

T-This person...is going to be in the same unit as me huh...? I wonder who the other two are...Ito thought. "Takasaki-san why don't you take a seat? It'll probably take a while before the other two comes." Himeru said. "Ah...H-Hai!" Ito said before taking a seat near Himeru.

A few minutes later another person entered the room. "Pardon the intrusion." "Ah Adonis-kun..." Ito said upon seeing who it is. "Hm? Takasaki you are here too?" Adonis asked. "H-Hai! Adonis-kun too...?" Ito asked as Adonis nodded in response.

"Ahaha! The difference between how you talk to Adonis-san and us is interesting!" Madara said. "Hmm is that so? I think it's because we're both classmates." Adonis said. "Hoho? Classmates is it? Well then it makes much more sense!" Madara said.

....Is it? Ito thought. Moments later another person entered the room. "....Good morning...." The person said. "G-Good morning Ritsu-kun..." Ito said. "Oh? If it isn't Takasaki-kun. Good to know you're called in too." Ritsu said with a smile but with a sleepy expression. "With that all five are present now just we need to wait for Producer-san to come." Himeru said.

Not too long later another person entered the room. "I'm sorry I'm late!" "No we were just early. Good morning Producer." Adonis said. "Hai good morning." She then turned to see Ito. "Good morning I'm the one who texted you yesterday, Anzu." Anzu said. "U-Um...F-From Elysian...Takasaki...Ito..." Ito said. Anzu then nodded before continuing.

"Well then to not waste time I'll let you know what kind of job you five are going to do." Anzu said as everyone kept quiet waiting. "Here are the scripts for your shuffle unit. You guys will be doing a drama as well." She added as she hands all five of them the script.

"Hoho? As expected of Producer-san! Let's see what is it going to be!" Madara said as he looks at the script. "Um...it says...Arius Squad and Sensei?" Ito said. "Hmm the Arius Squad is made of four members from Arius Satellite School where they suffered for years by the ruler of the school, Beatrice before being saved by Sensei." Himeru said as he reads the details.

"And the members of the Squad are Saori, Misaki, Hiyori and Atsuko with Saori as the leader. As for who is who....Atsuko is Sakuma, Hiyori is Takasaki." "Himeru will be Misaki, Otogari-san will be Saori and the Sensei will be Mikejima-san." Himeru said as he finishes for Adonis.

"This is interesting. Himeru can't wait to practice on this drama." He added. "I'm glad you like it. Before we go into the practice I would like to first decide on the unit name." Anzu said. "The shuffle unit name..." Ito said.

"I'm pretty much fine with anything~" Ritsu said. "Oh don't worry about that I actually decided on it beforehand." Anzu said. "As expected of Producer-san. Do tell us." Himeru said. "How about this? Abyssal Hunters." Anzu said. "Abyssal Hunters...is there a meaning to the name?" Adonis asked curious.

"To put it simply Beatrice believed students need to know despair. She made her students go through harsh trainings and didn't tolerate rebels. For this reason she can be seen as a demon, devil or monster. And you five will be the ones stopping her." Anzu explained. "I see...." Himeru said. "By the way I will do the outfits." Anzu said.

"In that case how about all five of us create the song together?" Madara suggested. "E-Eh??" "That's a nice idea. That way we can talk more and deepen our bond as a group." Adonis said. "Himeru has no objections either." Himeru said. "Me too~" Ritsu said. "And Takasaki-kun?" He then asked.

"U-Um....m-me too...I'm fine with it..." Ito said. "Great. Now we just need to decide on the leader." Anzu said. "The leader..." Ito said. "Oya? Takasaki are you perhaps interested in being one?" Himeru asked. "Eh?! U-Ummm...." "Really? If you want you can be the leader I won't complain." Adonis said.

"B-But..." "Takasaki-kun Takasaki-kun. It's gonna be okay. Besides being the leader can help you boost up your confidence. That's the whole reason you joined Dramatica as one of your circle right?" Ritsu said.

"T-That's true...but..." Ito said. "How about it Takasaki-san? Would you like to be our leader?" Madara asked. Ito was quiet for a while. Just when everyone thought they may have forced Ito to do something he doesn't want Ito spoke up.

"I-I'll do it! Let me do it please!" Ito said. All five including Anzu were startled for a moment before smiling. "Alright then! Now that everything is decided I'll leave the rest to Takasaki-kun!" Anzu said. "Hai thank you very much for your time Producer-san." Himeru said before Anzu bowed and left the room.

"And what do you think Himeru and the others should do now leader?" Himeru said. "Eh?! U-Umm....l-last time King said that for his shuffle unit they went to practice to synchronize their movements...T-That's why...I want to do the same..." Ito said.

"In that case it's decided! On our leader's order let's head to a lesson room right away!" Madara said. "Takasaki-kun carry me please~" Ritsu said. "Eh?! U-Um...O-Okay..." Ito said as he carried Ritsu on his back. The five of them then head to the lesson room to start practicing.

(I know I just finished writing chapters where Ito is the center but I can't help it. Wanted to do Ren's shuffle unit but ended up doing Ito instead)

(Also I wanted to do the new chapter draft but ended up didn't do cause I was tired from work)

(Also I put the Arius Squad which is from Blue Archive totally not because they're my favorite group)
